Kid Rock was none too happy to hear the news that beer brand Bud Light is starting a brand new partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney — who is a biological male identifying as a woman, sporting a five o’clock shadow dark enough to make your daddy jealous — ripping into the company with a vengeance. I mean, when you get down to brass tacks, this partnership makes no sense, considering the target demographic that consumes this alcoholic beverage is primarily straight men, but hey, what do I know?
Robert James Ritchie, the real name of the 52-year-old rockstar, got on social media to express his true feelings about the announcement.
In the video, Ritchie said, “Grandpa’s feeling a little frisky today. Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible.”
“F*** Bud Light,” Kid Rock then concluded the short, but very much to the point video post. “And f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day.”

Kid Rock has never been the kind of guy to mince words when it comes to sharing what’s on his mind or what he believes in, so this is pretty much a standard reply from the rocker. But I’m positive that it sums up the sentiments of the vast majority of average Americans, particularly men, who consume this product.
“Social media has been buzzing ever since Mulvaney posted a video over the weekend revealing a partnership with the beer brand. In an Instagram video, the activist showed off a personalized beer can. ‘Bud Light sent me possibly the best gift ever: a can with my face on it,’ Mulvaney said in Instagram stories,” the Daily Wire said.
“The influencer also shared a video promotion for Bud Light during the company’s promotional event for the NCAA basketball tournament, which included the hashtag, ‘#budlightpartner,'” the report continued. “At first, followers couldn’t figure out if the posts were part of a prank because they were posted on April Fool’s Day. But the beer retailer confirmed the partnership days later in a statement.”
“Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points,” an Anheuser-Busch spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News.
“From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney. This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public,” the spokesperson continued.
I don’t want to see Mulvaney’s face on my social media feed, my TV screen, my YouTube feed, or anything else for that matter, let alone on my beer.
When the confirmation by Anheuser-Bush came out, people immediately started to cry out for a boycott.
“I’ve been drinking Bud Lite for more than 20 years, sadly I had my last one yesterday. Deciding on a new non-bud owned alternative today,” one Twitter reaction stated.
“Fire your marketing director. He/she/they just sank your company into the ground,” a second user commented.
The Daily Wire report concluded by saying, “The brand has included LGBTQ representation in its marketing campaigns in the past. In 2019, it sold limited edition rainbow beer cans in partnership with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for Pride month.”
