Things got very heated on ABC’s “The View,” as co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin went head-to-head over what they believe is going to happen to former President Donald Trump after his indictment and arraignment on Tuesday. The two instantly butted heads during the program on Wednesday after Griffin made the suggestion that the case brought about by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — which carries with it 34 felony charges — would fail at “taking Trump down.”
In all honesty, I hope Griffin is correct. This would be bad for all Americans. Why? Because it would further legitimize the use of the justice system as a weapon against the left’s political enemies. Last thing the United States needs is to have the the whole system become a nuclear option resting soundly in the hands of radical progressives.
Whoopi demands that people just let Bragg "do his job" and prosecute Trump. "You don't bring stuff you don't think you can prove. He thinks he can do it."

“Two things can be true at once. Yesterday was a bad day for Donald Trump, the first indicted former president,” Griffin started things off, said the Daily Wire. “I want to see this guy held accountable. This case is not taking Donald Trump down, and I say that for a couple of reasons …”
“How do you know that?” Hostin interjected.
Griffin then pointed out that there wasn’t a conspiracy charge, which is what she said many individuals were waiting to see, but Hostin shrugged that off, saying that a conspiracy charge would have been more difficult to prove.
“Griffin went on to point out that four years was the maximum sentence carried by each charge against Trump, saying that it was far more likely he’d be slapped with a fine and probation given that it was a first offense and a non-violent crime,” the Daily Wire reported.
“Every legal expert I’ve talked to said most likely a fine and probation if he’s even convicted,” she went on to say. And, of course, Hostin interrupted yet again.
“I’ll tell you why you’re wrong as this legal expert. That is wrong! I will tell you why you’re wrong,” she persisted.
“He’s not going to jail over this,” Griffin repeated, refusing to back down.
“Prosecutors are not only in the business of prosecuting crimes. They’re in the business of sending out a message,” Hostin proclaimed, going on to add, “If you let the President of the United States be found guilty of 1-34 counts, even if they’re misdemeanors, and he gets to go home scot-free? You’re sending a message to the country that it’s okay, and that’s not going to happen.”
“It’s not scot-free,” Griffin remarked, offering some push back. “We’re just saying it’s going to be a fine and probation.”
“It won’t be serving time necessarily,” co-host Sara Haines stated as they all began squaking over each other during the segment.
As you can see by Sunny Hostin’s reaction to Griffin’s comments, the radical left is salivating at the possibility of seeing the former president behind bars, not realizing the dangerous precedent this whole political attack sets not only for conservatives, but for them too. The ignorance of what’s happening in this country by these individuals is mind-blowing.
