It seems that a source who is close to the Paramount smash success modern-day Western, “Yellowstone,” is claiming that the drama series is going to come to an end after its fifth and current season due to an ego dispute currently unfolding between lead actor Kevin Costner and the showrunner, Taylor Sheridan. The one time a really great show that just about anyone can enjoy is having massive success, the idiots behind the curtain ruin it for everybody.

“Season Five debuted eight episodes beginning last November and has been on its midseason break since January. But the remaining six episodes have not yet been filmed. One source told the Post scheduling is behind in part due to friction between Costner and Sheridan,” The Western Journal said.
“It’s the same as with any showrunner and big star — there’s respect, but there’s friction,” the person revealed.
Someone who is close to Sheridan reportedly stated that his head is swelling a bit due to the success he’s experiencing in his career. The Post also talked to someone they described as being a “highly-placed Hollywood source” who is close to Sheridan and said “there is an element of ego at play,” in the alleged series’ untimely demise.
“Taylor is the star of his show,” the source stated. “He’s the most important person on all of his shows.”
“Reports of friction between the pair began to leak not long after the show’s current season went on hiatus on New Year’s Day. Sheridan has reportedly not yet finished scripts for the final six episodes, which a person described as a “production source” close to the show said will likely be its swan song,” the report continued.
“We’re hoping it will be worked out. It’s too big a show for things not to be worked out,” the source added. The same person then said, “Hopefully Kevin will return for the remaining episodes if everyone works together, but it looks like ‘Yellowstone’ will end after this season.”
The report also revealed that Costner has expressed having some frustrations with Sheridan, who has not been very helpful in working with the actor’s busy schedule. A source close to the “Field of Dreams” actor said that he’s been ready and willing to get back to work, but Sheridan hasn’t given him anything to work with.
“Kevin’s been extremely cooperative with working with Taylor and his production company, 101 Studios. They were supposed to shoot the second chapter of Season 5 late last year, but they just didn’t have the scripts,” the person remarked.
“Taylor is overburdened, and Kevin made himself available at the beginning of the year, but again, nothing was ready,” the source stated in conclusion. “Kevin had already committed to making his other movies. He had given the producers his schedule.”
The hit series has an audience of almost 12 million people who tuned in to watch the first episode of season five, as the show, along with its spinoffs, have struck a chord with viewers across the nation, including a whole lot of conservatives.
