There is an old saying, or maybe I just heard it in the movie “The Breakfast Club”, they say “you mess with the bull, you get the horns”. Well, for one poor fellow in New Orleans, he messed with the bull after a boxing match, and he certainly got the horns. He also got a nap on the not-so-comfy streets of New Orleans.
After a boxing card Friday night, the man got into a scuffle with UFC legend Nate Diaz. Whether he knew who Diaz was or not is unknown, but he picked the wrong guy and the wrong time to feel his oats. Check this out.
Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz was shockingly filmed choking out a man in a street brawl in New Orleans.
Diaz, 38, had just attended a boxing card Friday night at the XULA Convention Center to support teammate Chris Avila in Avila’s victory over Paul Bamba.
Video captured Diaz wrapping the man’s neck in a guillotine choke, leaving him out cold and lying in the street. Bloody Elbow reported Diaz’s curbside opponent is Rodney Petersen, a TikTok star known for looking like Logan Paul, the brother of Jake Paul.

There was some suspicion that this was a publicity stunt since Peterson looks like Logan Paul, and Paul is set to box Diaz soon. Even UFC President Dana White was confused. He chimed in on social media:
Another video shows UFC President Dana White reacting to the viral clip asking if the man floored was indeed Logan Paul, according to the Daily Mail.
He then quips: “He knocked him out! Whoever that is he knocked him out. That guy’s head bounced like a f–king basketball.”
White then predicted Diaz is “going to get sued like a motherf–ker’.’
There will almost certainly be a lawsuit, unless video emerges of the assailant instigating the beatdown. It is unlikely that he was seriously injured, as Diaz is trained in disabling an opponent without hurting him via oxygen constriction.
Diaz has been taking heat in recent weeks due to an incident where he threw a bottle at reality TV star and boxer Chase DeMoor. DeMoor fired back:
“Nate Diaz decided to get mad and throw a prime bottle on me, that’s cute bro,” DeMoor tweeted. Just next time don’t run. And stop spending your nights in the club trying to use your dried up MMA career to pull college girls while you’re out in New Orleans.”
Hilarious and harsh criticism from DeMoor. Diaz did find an unlikely ally in legendary fighter Conor McGregor. McGregor took to Twitter to show his support for Diaz. Or at least to have a good laugh.
‘Hahaha Nate on a rampage tonight! Let’s go Nate! Hahaha.”
Diaz hasn’t fought in some time, except for the street brawling in NOLA, but the hope is he has enough left in the tank to put on a good show against Jake Paul later this year. If the shenanigans in New Orleans are any indication, it should be a good show with Paul.
