It has been a rough couple of weeks for Bud Light. The formerly hugely popular brew has taken a beating at bars, gas stations, restaurants, and liquor stores. Talk about a marketing hangover! The embattled beer seems to be getting canceled in one of the most unlikely places; the Las Vegas Strip.
Vegas would seem to be the last place anyone would care about marketing or beer or what they were even drinking, for that matter. Sin City is so packed with excess that you literally don’t have time to make such minute decisions. Just order another Bud Light and try to stay hot at the craps table. Unfortunately for Bud Light, people in Vegas are taking their eyes off the craps and not ordering the crap. Check this out.
People enjoying the Las Vegas Strip seem to be doing so without drinking much Bud Light.
Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light have been taking nonstop fire ever since teaming up with Dylan Mulvaney for a video that was nothing short of jarring.
Sales have taken a monster hit, multiple celebrities have publicly dragged the beer brand and it doesn’t seem like anyone is interested in slowing down.
Well, it turns out people crushing it in Vegas might be getting in on the boycott.
While the sales numbers aren’t due out for a few more weeks, the anecdotal evidence suggests people simply aren’t buying the beers AB sells. This take also aligns with the eye test, as any trip into any store that sells beer and you can plainly see cases and cases of Bud Light, often warm and stacked on the floor.
"It seems like there’s a lot of Bud Light on the shelves in Vegas and a lot of the competitors being sold out."
People on the Las Vegas Strip appear to be boycotting Bud Light after the Dylan Mulvaney collaboration.

A popular YouTube personality based in Las Vegas set out with a camera in hand to check it out. This is what he found via Outkick:
“Not Leaving Las Vegas” (real name Steven) is famous for chronicling all the craziness in Sin City.
He posted a video Tuesday night checking out locations selling alcohol on the Strip, and one thing is clear:
There’s plenty of Bud Light available while other popular brands have been picked clean.
At one point in the video, he interviews a store employee who claims he went from restocking Bud Light multiple times per shift to rarely doing it. When asked point blank if people are buying Bud Light, the unnamed employee replied with, “No.”
“It seems like there’s a lot of Bud Light on the shelves in Vegas and a lot of the competitors being sold out. So, Miller loves Budweiser right now,” the popular YouTuber said at the end of the video.
Sure, “go woke, go broke” might be reductive and cliched, but it still rings true, even if AB isn’t going to go broke literally. However, we don’t need companies to go broke. We need them to respect women and their consumers. Putting a make-believe woman on a beer can, even if you aren’t selling it, doesn’t align with the values of the people that actually buy the beer. That doesn’t seem like a hard thing to understand, but to many companies, it might as well be quantum physics.
The Bud Light boycott doesn’t seem to be losing steam, and the sales figures in May will be fascinating. Consumers are once again proving that money talks, or more specifically, NOT giving it to woke companies speaks volumes.
