Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has made his first public remarks since he was unceremoniously booted from the network on Monday, responding to a recent report from the folks at Politico concerning the celebration of his show being yanked off the air by officials at the Pentagon. This should go to show you just how much power Carlson has as a media figure. If the information and analysis he offers to his viewing audience of three million on topics of the day so irritate government officials, then he has to be doing something right.
Leftists fear powerful men like Carlson who have so much sway and influence with the American people. He has this influence because he tells the truth, unvarnished, making him a trusted source for people to get their news. This is what ultimately got him booted, you can almost guarantee it.
According to The Daily Wire, “Carlson regularly hit the U.S. military under President Joe Biden’s leadership for focusing on woke initiatives instead of focusing on being the most lethal fighting force on the planet.”
“We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” one senior DOD official stated during a conversation with Politico. The official went on to make the claim that Carlson “made a mockery” of the free press and “repeatedly cherry-picked department policies and used them to destroy DOD as an institution.”
Another official with the Defense Department said, “Good riddance.”
These morons really seem to think that just because Fox News cut Tucker Carlson loose, that means they never have to worry about him again. I hate to inform these dolts, but Carlson will no doubt bounce back from this incident, probably stronger than ever, with an even wider audience than he held before. And you can guarantee he’s now going to make the lives of these officials very, very difficult. Ain’t that just straight delicious? More yummy than mama’s pecan — pronounced pea-CAN — pie.
When Politico reached out to Carlson for a comment in response to the statements being made by Pentagon officials over his exit from Fox News, he responded with a text message, saying, “Ha! I’m sure.”
Legendary.
Fox News issued a statement on Monday saying, “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st” the statement added. “Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
“The Wall Street Journal — which is owned by the Murdoch family through its parent company News Corp. — reported that what led to his ouster at the network was his alleged open disdain for some of the executives at the company,” the Daily Wire reported.
Lawyers for the company told the popular Fox News host as they were getting ready to go to trial with Dominion that they had convinced the court to redact from legal documents an occurrence where he referred to a senior executive with the network a rather vulgar term in a private message. Carlson then allegedly told his colleagues that he actually wanted the world to know his thoughts and feelings toward this executive.
The report went on to say that he had a “famously combative stance toward members of Fox News management and other colleagues caught up with him.”
As it turns out, the decision to fire Carlson was made by Lachlan Murdoch, son of Fox Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, along with Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott.
