A church located in Minneapolis, Minnesota is finding itself at the center of a massive controversy after it aired a livestream last Sunday that captured the moment of its so-called “pastors’ stood before the congregation and led them in the recitation of what is called “The Sparkle Creed,” which proclaims belief in a “non-binary God whose pronouns are plural” — which is mocking the Trinity — while also making the very bizarre claim that Jesus Christ “had two dads,” along with a lengthy list of other blasphemies.
It seems important to note that while Jesus did indeed have a Heavenly Father and an earthly father — Jesus — neither of the two were in a homosexual relationship with each other, which is sort of what is being implied — whether that was what was meant or not — in the weird statement.
Anna Helgen, who serves on the leadership for Edina Community Lutheran Church, requested those attending service to “confess our faith today in the words of The Sparkle Creed,” which is a complete bastardization and mockery of “The Apostle’s Creed.”
“I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling child of God. I believe in the rainbow spirit, who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity. I believe in the church of everyday saints, as numerous, creative, and resilient as patches on the AIDS quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in Wonder. I believe in the calling to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love. I believe, glorious God. Help my unbelief. Amen,” the creed says, according to TheBlaze.

The report then noted that “The Sparkle Creed,” was created by Rev. Rachel Small Stokes. Here’s a Facebook post dated 2021 that highlights the work, which you can read here.
After reciting the blasphemy with the congregation, Helgen then said a prayer to what she called the God of “expansive and inclusive love” and for the “summer solstice,” as well as for “honey bee populations experiencing extreme loss,” “climate justice,” Pride events and “all LGBTQIA+ leaders.”
Guess who Helgen also mentioned during the bizarre prayer? Taylor Swift. You know, the pop superstar? She asked God to help people in the congregation to “shake it off” when things get tough, quoting song lyrics from the singer.
The Bible, in many different passages in both the Old Testament and New Testament, condemns homosexuality as a sin. Imagine praying to God as if He were a member of the homosexual community and approved of the acts being committed by folks claim to be part of the movement. How much more wicked could you get?
