This whole transgender men-transitioning-to-women stuff was already over the line with their involvement in female sports and using restrooms for biological women, but after what has happened to an 18-year-old female military recruit, it has absolutely got to stop. We as a culture, as a supposed civilized society, need to stop catering and encouraging someone’s mental illness and draw a line in the sand. This seems like a pretty good place to do that.
According to a Daily Caller report from Laurel Duggan, the young woman in question was forced to shower with and sleep between two biological men who claimed they were currently transitioning to women, said Sen. Mike Rounds, a South Dakota Republican.
Duggan said that the young woman was very distressed by the whole experience, however, she was scared to speak out about it, worried that it might endanger her career in the military, Rounds said during an interview with Fox News.
“She could have basically resigned or stepped away. She could have started over again. But nonetheless, it was an extremely uncomfortable position. And I think this is one of the reasons why we’re not meeting our recruitment goals now,” Rounds said in his statement to the outlet. The attorney general of the South Dakota National Guard is the one who brought the woman’s story to the attention of the senator.
“He had contacted our office very concerned about the information he had received from the recruit,” Rounds went on to say. “The respect that this young recruit should have received and the privacy that she should have had, she was being deprived of.”

“The Department of Defense requires transgender service members to use bathroom and shower facilities that align with their gender marker, an official marker of one’s gender which service members can change and does not necessarily reflect one’s biological sex,” Duggan’s report explained.
“DoD policy is that all Service members must be treated with dignity and respect. We would encourage any troop who’s feeling uncomfortable or has concerns about privacy in shared spaces to work through their chain of command. Commanders may employ reasonable accommodations to respect the privacy interests of Service members,” a Department of Defense official said revealed in a written statement sent to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
How disturbing is this poor woman’s story? No person should be forced to indulge in a person’s mental illness and delusions, especially when it makes them feel threatened and unsafe. Why is it the armed forces are more concerned with the feelings of the transgender individuals and not that of those who are uncomfortable sharing a shower with them? Something is wrong with this picture.
It’s bad enough that we’re having to battle tooth and nail as parents in a culture that wants to brainwash young children into thinking this sort of deviance is normal through the public education system. Now we are forcing our women, who are bravely signing up to serve their country, to shower with men? Really? This is out of control.
