Gary Shapley, an Internal Revenue Service whistleblower, made accusations against the legal team of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, saying they made false statements about him after he gave testimony about Biden’s investigation to the House Ways & Means Committee, and then said they threatened prosecutors. As the old song goes, “what’s done in the dark will be brought to the light,” because “you can run on for a long time, but sooner or later, God’ll cut you down.”
A report from James Lynch of the Daily Caller said that Shapley testified Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee concerning the Hunter Biden investigation, claiming the legal team representing the younger son of the president sent out an “error-filled” letter that contained “false statements” about him.

“Even last fall, Biden family attorneys attacked investigators in the pages of The Washington Post and threatened the prosecutors with career suicide if they brought charges against the president’s son. Then one of the Biden family attorneys sends to the press a 10-page, error-filled letter that attacked me with innuendo, false statements, and baseless speculation that I had leaked information to The Washington Post. These statements by Biden family attorneys are false,” Shapley said in his testimony.
“Abbe Lowell, an attorney for Hunter Biden, wrote a letter to the House Ways & Means Committee in late June that appeared to spread falsehoods about Shapley and the other IRS whistleblower. Lowell accused Shapley of leaking information to The Washington Post and fabricating an alleged text Hunter Biden sent to a Chinese official,” Lynch said.
Lowell then stated that both IRS whistleblowers were not made aware of the penalties for providing false testimony, despite whistleblower transcripts revealing otherwise. When asked for a comment, the Daily Caller said Lowell did not respond.
In his written testimony, delivered on Wednesday, Shapley described how attorneys representing Hunter Biden attempted to apply serious pressure to the Justice Department in order to get them to launch a probe over his whistleblowing.
“After my testimony was released, we received a request for a comment from a reporter claiming that Mr. Biden’s attorneys had sent a letter to the Justice Department lobbying for a retaliatory criminal inquiry against me for my protected whistleblowing. The press did not share a copy of this alleged letter with us, and I have still not seen it,” Shapley went on to state in his written testimony.
“But, it is chilling to think that after threatening prosecutors with ‘career suicide,’ Mr. Biden’s attorneys would be so bold as to actually lobby in writing for his father’s Justice Department to prosecute the whistleblower who disclosed preferential treatment for the President’s son,” Shapley continued.
The Biden family is well connected and they have used those connections to try and avoid being held accountable for deep levels of corruption that can likely be traced back to President Joe “The Big Guy” Biden. With an election year coming up, and the current commander-in-chief announcing his bid for second term in the White House, the administration is doing everything they can to keep the family business — influence peddling — under wraps.
But the truth can only be kept hidden for so long. Has the time finally come for it all to come out? Let’s hope so.
