The cause of the sudden passing of 22-year-old YouTube star and content creator, Annabelle Ham, has finally been revealed, and, surprisingly, it’s not what you probably think. A lot of times in stories like these we find out that an influencer died from either doing drugs or due to suicide, but neither is the case here. Ham passed away on Saturday of what has now been revealed as an “epileptic event,” according to her family. Folks, this is a truly tragic turn of events, so please be kind and keep the young woman’s family in your thoughts and prayers. No parent should ever outlive their children.
According to The Daily Caller, Ham’s family published a post on Ham’s Instagram account providing details of what happened, saying in a caption, “This is Annabelle’s family. We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven.”
The family revealed that Ham struggled with epilepsy for a long time, seeking to raise awareness of the condition. Her family also revealed they would be taking up her cause, saying, “Annabelle was beautiful and inspiring and lived life to the fullest. Everyone she met was inspired by her energy and the light inside her soul that shined so bright. She was, and will forever be, so so loved.”

According to information provided by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, epilepsy is a neurological disorder often characterized by repeated seizures.
“Honestly — [Annabelle] was just all that’s good in this world. She was the life of the party, a spark-plug, she loved everyone she met and everyone loved her too,” her sister, Alexandria, said during an interview with the New York Post. “She was always so happy and looked for ways to make every day, situation, or outing better. There really aren’t adequate words for how good she was.”
Ham, a student at Kennesaw State University, managed to build a following of 78,000 subscribers on YouTube, no easy feat, with a total of 108,000 followers spread across Instagram and TikTok. The focus of her content was beauty tutorials, along with capturing snippets of what it was like to be a college student in Georgia, which included posts from her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi.
“Sometimes I don’t understand why god does things but, i can’t even put into words how hard this is. You would never think something like this would or could happen to you until it does,” Amelia wrote concerning the passing of her sister.
Strangely, there is speculation brewing that a Facebook post from law enforcement authorities in the state of Alabama is somehow connected to Ham’s death. Then again, can you really trust anything posted on the Internet these days?
The message in question, posted by the Fairhope Police Department on Saturday, says, “Today at 3:32 pm Fairhope Police Department responded to a call for a missing person who was last seen walking on the pier at the end of Molokai Lane, located in Fairhope. Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department along with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and Daphne Search and Rescue responded to assist. The person was located deceased. Identification has not been released pending family notification. The Fairhope Police are currently investigating and will update when further information is available. At this time no foul play is suspected.”
The family has requested that fans respect their privacy in the wake of this tragedy, asking for them not to spread speculation or rumors about Ham’s demise.
“Please don’t post or spread speculation or details that are unfounded. There will be a time to share more details and to go deeper into her life. Her accounts will be used to share what she went through and the joys she brought to all of us. Unnecessary comments only serve to hurt us all, this is a time for remembrance and mourning. Thank you,” the family concluded.
