The crisis continuing to unfold at the southern border the United States shares with Mexico is getting worse and worse as time goes by thanks to the horrific policies of President Joe Biden who, through his lack of action when it comes to enforcing immigration laws currently on the books, has essentially incentivized human traffickers to create victims of illegal immigrants who are desperately seeking to cross over into our country.
“On Saturday, Mexican authorities rescued a group of 17 illegal migrants crammed inside a bogus U.S. Border Patrol truck in sweltering heat on the Mexican side of the border, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported,“ the Western Journal said. “On Tuesday, Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens posted a Twitter photo of the white pickup truck that was used by human smugglers to prey on unsuspecting migrants.”
The truck that was spotted by Mexican authorities was fully decked out with Border Patrol decal stickers that look very close to the ones actually used on U.S. government vehicles.
“DYK [Did you know]: Smugglers ‘clone’ vehicles to resemble law enforcement or business ones,” Owens posted in a tweet. “El Centro agents stopped a cloned BP vehicle from entering the U.S. after observing a subject trying to breach the border fence [with] a cutting torch. A delegate of the National Migration Institute in California, David Perez Tejada, spoke with NBC News, revealing that human traffickers often impersonate Border Patrol agents as a ruse to trick migrants desperate to enter the U.S. He went on to say that smugglers probably deceived the migrants by saying, “Hop on, we already have an agreement. This is a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle. With this, they won’t ask you anything before you cross the border.”
“Human rights activist Victor Clark Alfaro, a professor at San Diego State University, said the smugglers then exploit and abuse the migrants, sometimes trapping them into human slavery,” the Western Journal stated.
“If you are in the hands of smugglers, they can not only rape women, extort migrants and steal their belongings, but even kill them,” Alfaro said during the interview with NBC News.
The group that was discovered in the vehicle consisted of 13 men and four women who had been exposed to extreme temperatures inside the truck they were crammed into. A spokesperson for the Border Patrol had a conversation with the San Diego Union-Tribune where they said that “transnational criminal organizations profit by going to great lengths to smuggle people and contraband into the United States.”
A similar event happened in 2021, where a fake Border Patrol vehicle was found with 10 illegal immigrants were found by Homeland Security agents close to the border of Tuscon, Arizona.
“Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, who has done extensive reporting on Biden’s border crisis, noted how authentic the bogus Border Patrol vehicles can appear,” the WJ report stated.

President Joe Biden is not only failing our country by not fulfilling his duty to keep us safe and protected, physically and economically, from an invasion of illegal migrants, but he is also failing the those immigrants who are now becoming victims of human traffickers as well. If he were to take action and do what is required of his branch of the government, enforcing the law, then we would have a wall built and would be deporting folks back to their home countries, showing cartels and other criminals they have nothing to gain and thus reducing human trafficking.
Alas, since such action does not further the progressive agenda, it’s likely Biden will continue his current course of action: doing nothing.
