Actress Jodie Sweetin, who is only known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on “Full House” and for having a raging drug addiction, is really “disappointed” that one of her upcoming “films,” which is a term used very loosely in this context, was sold to the pro-family, pro-traditional values media company Great American Family. Yeah, it’s super disappointing when a project you worked on that nobody else in the entertainment industry could have cared less about gets bought and distributed, thus allowing it to see the light of day.
Sweetin, 41, shared her thoughts about the purchase of her new movie, “Craft Me a Romance,” being sold to the network. Keep in mind, the chief creative officer of GAF is her former “Full House” co-star and sister of popular evangelical Christian Kirk Cameron, Candace Cameron Bure, who is also a frequent contributor to the network herself, having left the Hallmark Channel after they decided to go woke.
“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,” Sweetin went on to say in a statement, according to the Daily Wire. “So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family.”
She added, “I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.”
The Daily Wire provided some background on Great American Family, saying, “GAF CEO Bill Abbott and Bure did a joint interview in November 2022 stating that they planned to ‘keep traditional marriage at the core’ of the upcoming programming to differentiate themselves from Hallmark, which has been featuring more LGBTQ storylines in recent years.”
“I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” Bure remarked in a statement she shared concerning the switch. “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose.”
Abbott did say there’s no hard and fast rule that prohibits same-sex love stories at the company, comments made concerning traditional marriage were soon picked up by raging liberal celebrities who seem to not grasp their own lack of importance.
JoJo Siwa, an individual whose opinion almost no one of substance cares about, said, “Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
This prompted Sweetin to respond by saying, “You know I love you.”
The movie, “Craft Me a Romance,” is set to premiere on GAF on September 16. The premise of the film is the owner of an arts and crafts store is informed by a rival store owner there she hast to sell her store and go out of business.
Kind of sounds like a rip off of “You’ve Got Mail,” doesn’t it?
