President Joe Biden once again demonstrated a total lack of compassion on Thursday by refusing to answer questions from reporters concerning his upcoming trip to Maui after getting slammed all week for staying silent on the issue. Biden does not possess a single characteristic that makes a man fit for leadership. It’s astounding that so many support him. It’s obviously only because the left hates former President Donald Trump so much. That has to be it. There’s no other explanation.
“Can you tell us about your Hawaii trip, sir?” a reporter asked the president on the tarmac.
“No, not now. I’ll be leaving and I’ll be there on Monday,” Biden replied, before turning and walking away. Very presidential move, right? Nothing says “leadership” like ignoring a national disaster that killed Americans you are supposed to be representing, and then refusing to answer any questions about your visit to the area. It’s beyond frustrating to think this man is representing us all to the rest of the world.

“The White House announced Wednesday he would be visiting the island devastated by wildfires on Aug. 21. He had first spoken about the fires last Thursday at the top of his speech and then stayed largely silent before delivering remarks on Tuesday, again at the top of a speech about a different topic,” the Daily Wire reported.
Over the weekend, Biden seemingly muttered “no comment” about the rising death toll caused by the fire, which is now sitting at 111, according to a report from CNN. On Monday and Tuesday, Biden once again ducked the media on this topic before cracking a joke about how he had to discuss Hawaii.
“I apologize because I try very hard to keep my speeches between 15 and 18 minutes, but I gotta talk a little bit about Hawaii. I’ve been on the phone with the governor coming up here and the senators. And let me say, address the devastating wildfires, some of which are still burning in Hawaii, have claimed the lives of 99 people so far,” Biden remarked.
“Almost 500 federal personnel have been deployed to Maui to help communities and survivors get back on their feet. FEMA, search and rescue teams, are sifting through the ashes,” he went on to say, adding that he had approved a disaster declaration for the state.
When Florida was rocked by hurricanes during Trump’s time in office, he wasted no time discussing the situation and getting involved to ensure the government provided as much aid as necessary to help people in the wake of the disaster. That’s what real leadership looks like. It most definitely doesn’t look like a feeble old man hanging out at the beach and pretending that nothing is happening. Clearly, Biden is not fit for duty. Never was, never has been, and most certainly never will be.
The people of Hawaii deserve to have a president who cares about them. Someone who will ensure if they experience a disaster like this, they will have all the help and support they need to get through the situation and rebuild their lives. Biden cannot provide this, thus, he should not be reelected in 2024.
