Actress Jennifer Aniston, most famous for playing the role of Rachel on “Friends,” has stated she’s had enough of “cancel culture” during an interview where she aptly, and hilariously, pointed out that she would likely be canceled for making such a proclamation. What makes her statement funny is that it is absolutely true. One of the fastest ways to get on the outs in Hollywood and with cancel culture is to be critical of cancel culture itself. And the irony all seems lost on the folks participating in the digital pitchfork carrying mob.
According to the Daily Wire’s latest report, Aniston had a conversation with The Wall Street Journal where she explained that while she herself didn’t experience any harassment from Harvey Weinstein, once the king of the motion picture business, now a disgraced jailbird, she said she isn’t the kind of person who puts everyone who has done something wrong into the same “basket.”
“I probably just got canceled by saying that,” Aniston quipped. “I just don’t understand what it means … Is there no redemption? I don’t know. I don’t put everybody in the Harvey Weinstein basket.”
The former “Friends” star recounted how Weinstein made folks feel nervous and one time while she was in her trailer on the set of a film, he showed up to pitch a project to her.
Jennifer Aniston said she was never harassed by Harvey Weinstein, but "he came to visit me on a movie… And I do remember consciously having a person stay in my trailer." https://t.co/2XBAcOOK1V

“He’s not a guy, you’re like, ‘God, I can’t wait to hang out with Harvey [Weinstein],’” the actress stated. “Never. You were actually like, ‘Oh, God, OK, suck it up.’”
“I remember actually, he came to visit me on a movie to pitch me a movie,” she continued. “And I do remember consciously having a person stay in my trailer.”
For those who are still a little fuzzy about who Weinstein is, the Daily Wire says, “Weinstein was at the center of the #MeToo movement in 2017 after numerous stars accused him of sexual misconduct. He is currently serving 39 years behind bars after being convicted in Los Angeles and New York for rape and sexual assault, Variety noted.”
And just to further demonstrate what an absolute creep Weinstein is, he actually sent an email out about Aniston saying he wished her dead. That’s the kind of guy we’re talking about here. This dude is definitely not someone you voluntarily have in your friend group.
In an email that was sent in 2017, Weinstein said, “Jen Aniston should be killed.” Wow. That’s a pretty strong declaration to make, don’t you think? Perhaps he did make an advance on her and she turned him down? I wouldn’t want to publicly discuss that either if I were her. The email was a response to a media inquiry that questioned him about allegations he groped her.
At the time of the now infamous email, representatives for the actress clarified those allegations were not true, but hey, that didn’t seem to be enough for Harvey. Makes you wonder if the statement put out by Aniston’s team was the truth or if she was trying to save face. Either way, she’s done with cancel culture and so are we.
