Hunter Biden, the younger son of President Joe Biden, just got some really bad news, and quite frankly, it’s awesome. I know that message sounds a bit like a contradiction, but it all comes down to your point of view. You see, I believe Hunter and his pops are two of the most corrupt individuals currently alive in the United States, having taken part in an influence peddling scheme while the elder Biden was serving as the vice president involving foreign entities.
But, thanks to their political privilege, neither man has, thus far, answered for what they have likely done, according to evidence that has been discovered up to this point. Heck, the younger Biden even managed to, initially, cut a sweetheart deal with prosecutors concerning tax evasion charges and a gun violation. Unfortunately for him, that deal was rejected by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika who questioned the immunity he was being offered as part of the negotiations.
However, according to the Daily Wire, Hunter Biden was just indicted by Special Counsel David Weiss for the gun charge. Could we potentially be seeing the first unraveling of the two-tiered system of justice in our country? Let’s hope so.
“The indictment charges the president’s son with three crimes related to false statements made on a federal application to purchase a firearm. The charges relate to a time when, in October 2018, Hunter claimed he was clean of drugs to purchase a handgun. He later wrote in his memoir that he was addicted to crack cocaine at the time,” the Daily Wire reported.

“Two of the counts carry max sentences of 10 years in prison, while the third carries a max sentence of 5 years, according to NBC News. The stiff sentences are a sharp contrast to the agreement worked out under the failed plea deal. The plea agreement would have freed Hunter from jail time and instead put him in a diversion program that, if completed successfully, would have wiped the gun charges from his record,” Tim Pearce wrote for the outlet.
The indictment states that Hunter, “knowing that he was an unlawful user of and addicted to any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled substance … did knowingly possess a firearm, that is, a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver.”
Weiss indicated earlier in the month that he was probably going to slap Hunter Biden with some charges for telling whoppers on the federal gun registration form and then owning a gun illegally. The special counsel informed Noreika via a written notice that he was mulling over filing charges against the president’s not-so-golden boy with gun charges, however, he did not mention any other dealings or taxes that are also part of the current investigation into corruption allegations taken from investigations being carried out by House Republicans.
“The charges for the president’s son come at a politically and potentially legally fraught time for the president. President Biden is facing allegations from Republicans that he benefitted from his families’ overseas business schemes that netted the Biden family tens of millions of dollars. The president is alleged by former business partners of Hunter to have known about Hunter’s business dealings. The president at times allegedly spoke with Hunter’s business partners directly to reinforce an image purchasing of access to the highest levels of American governance, according to one of Hunter’s former partners, Devon Archer,” Pearce finished.
Let’s hope for some legitimate results from the charges and that if he’s found guilty, Hunter Biden actually faces real consequences for his actions instead of getting bailed out because his daddy is the president.
