Things are continuing to heat up in the investigation into both President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden over allegations the pair were involved in an influence peddling scheme back when the elder member of the family was serving as vice president. House Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida took it to Attorney General Merrick Garland, asking him if he was “confident” the first son had stopped selling the “appearance of access” to his dad. This is a question that needs to be asked for a lot of reasons, chief among them national security.
According to Just the News, Garland, who is the head over the Justice Department, stated during the House Judiciary Committee hearing that he wouldn’t be able to offer any comments about that and he does not want to interfere with his department’s investigation into Hunter Biden. In other words, his lips are sealed. Garland is a good little soldier, isn’t he?
One of the main purposes for this particular hearing is to find out whether or not the DOJ, under the leadership of Garland, has become both “politicized” and “weaponized.” I don’t think it takes a political genius to see the answer to both questions is a resounding “yes.”
We’ve watched the Federal Bureau of Investigation oppress pro-life activists and accuse them of all sorts of ridiculous crimes for daring to go to baby murder mills and attempt to persuade pregnant women not to kill their unborn children. This sudden hatred and persecution is coming just one year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Again, it does not take high intelligence to figure out what’s going on here.
It’s an attempt to silence anyone who would dare stand against the progressive agenda, plain and simple.
Here’s more from JTN:
Near the start of the hearing, Garland was asked by Louisiana GOP Rep. Mike Johnson whether he had any “personal contact with anyone at FBI headquarters about the Hunter Biden investigation?”
Garland replied: “I don’t recollect the answer to that question, but the FBI works for the Justice Department.”
Johnson interrupted: “I’m sorry. You don’t recollect whether you’ve talked with anybody at FBI headquarters about an investigation into the president’s son?”
Garland responded: “I don’t believe that I did.”
The attorney general also said he has “kept that promise” not to interfere with special counsel David Weiss’ investigation of Hunter Biden, who was indicted last week on federal gun charges.
With all of the evidence stacked against Merrick and the Biden family, why do they continue to lie and hide the truth? It’s going to come out eventually, right? Why not just come clean and clear your conscience? That would seem like the right thing to do.
This is how dedicated the left is to ensuring the agenda is pushed forward. They will allow their own personal lives to be destroyed, all for the sake of keeping the secrets buried. Who knows, really, how far the rabbit hole really goes at this point? Scary thought.
