When we talk about Democrats in these parts, it’s not usually for doing anything positive, as well, the radical left in the United States rarely takes action that deserves any sort of praise. I mean, destroying the very foundation of the greatest nation to ever exist in human history is not really something you should be proud of, am I right? Plus, let’s be honest, much of what Democrats believe is utterly insane. Dudes chopping off their southern parts and shooting up hormones so they can look like women? Nothing about that says “mentally stable.”
Anyway, one of the most egregious ideals the left holds to is the support of baby murder in the form of abortion. If you’re a Democrat, you pretty much have to hold to every single pre-approved stance on their agenda, otherwise you cannot be part of the hive mind. Not being part of the hive-mind means you are a pariah.
Fortunately, there are still Democrats out there in the world today who, while holding to a different set of solutions to a number of problems facing the country, still have a strong sense of morality, though they are certainly far and few in-between. Michigan state Rep. Karen Whitsett is one of those rare left-wing politicians. Whitsett is the human equivalent of a unicorn that rides a rainbow across the sky and poops Skittles. That’s how rare she is.
And Whitsett is not making very many friends in the state with her anti-abortion stance. In fact, the stand she’s currently making on the issue could derail the state’s Democrat abortion policy goals.

Democrats in the Great Lakes State are trying to expand abortion access in a package of bills known as the “Reproductive Health Act.” But there is a major problem standing in their way. Because Democrats hold only a narrow majority in the Michigan state House, they need the support of every Democratic lawmaker to pass the bills. The legislation would, among other things, repeal the 24-hour waiting period for an abortion and allow taxpayer funds, via Medicaid, to fund elective abortions.
Enter Rep. Whitsett, who opposes both initiatives.
“I will not cast a single vote to allow taxpayer money to fund elective abortions when those same dollars should be used to fulfill our duty to struggling seniors living in poverty,” Whitsett stated. “The choice is simple — we can either fund essential care for seniors or fund elective abortions. I choose our elders.”
She then went on to explain, “I do not think it is too much to ask when someone’s terminating a life, a 24-hour pause to be able to say for sure this is the decision you want to make, 24 hours is not too much.”
Say, did you guys hear that sound? Yeah, that strange wailing and gnashing of teeth? That’s Michigan Democrats throwing a tantrum because they won’t be able to murder their own children in the womb for free. Sick and twisted bunch, aren’t they?
“This week, she was the lone Democrat to vote against moving six of the bills in the package from committee, the Detroit News reported. And without her support or the support of any Republicans, the package may fail to pass,” TheBlaze reported.
Guess who is absolutely furious about Whittset’s stance on this issue? Planned Parenthood, the leading baby murder mill in the country.
Paula Thornton Greear, the president of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, put out a statement saying, “Rep. Karen Whitsett’s opposition to the Reproductive Health Act is a betrayal of her constituents who overwhelmingly support access to abortion. If Rep. Whitsett votes in opposition, she will be solely responsible for the continued enforcement of dozens of anti-abortion restrictions that disproportionately harm women of color and people who are struggling to make ends meet.”
Whittset is not backing down, regardless of the strong condemnation she’s facing from the pro-abortion crowd. Let’s hope she inspires others like herself to stand against the radicals in the Democratic Party.
