Republican Sen. Tom Cotton, a stalwart conservative from the state of Arkansas, is now demanding the Department of Homeland Security to plant a boot firmly on the backside of any foreign nationals who have expressed support for terrorist group Hamas after the brutal attacks they launched on Israel earlier this month that left over 1,000 people dead.
According to the Daily Wire, Cotton wrote a letter addressed to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday, making a call for President Joe Biden and his ilk to obey federal law, which states clearly that any foreign national who shows support for or endorses the activity of a terrorist organization be deported from the country.
But hey, let’s take a second to remember who we’re dealing with here. Biden and the rest of his lackeys have not bothered to do the actual job of the executive branch and enforce immigration laws to protect the national security interests of the United States since he took office, so he’s probably not going to start now.
“I write to urge you to immediately deport any foreign national—including and especially any alien on a student visa — that has expressed support for Hamas and its murderous attacks on Israel. These fifth-columnists have no place in the United States,” Cotton stated in his letter, according to a report published by Fox News.
“Federal law is clear that any alien who ‘endorses or espouses terrorist activity or persuades others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization’ is inadmissible and must be deported,” the Arkansas Republican continued.
Not long after the Palestinian terrorist group launched their assault in Israel, thousands of people here in the United States rushed into the street to hold protests in support of Hamas and to repeat the false narrative that Israel is a bunch of colonialists that basically deserve everything they get. Tons of student groups on college campuses and universities across the nation — along with more than a few professors — created statements in support of the radical terrorist group, which immediately alarmed lawmakers .
“One of those student groups was the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee, which got around 30 other student groups at the Ivy League school to sign onto a joint statement that blamed Israel for the violence and atrocities committed by Hamas in its attack against the Jewish state,” the report said.
“Swiftly removing and permanently barring from future reentry any foreign student who signed onto or shared approvingly the anti-Semitic letter from the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee on October 7 would be a good place to start,” Cotton stated in his letter directed to Mayorkas.
“The appalling explosion of anti-Semitism in the United States over the past few weeks should disturb anyone who shares American values,” Cotton’s letter stated. “While American citizens may have a First Amendment right to speak disgusting vitriol if they so choose, no foreign national has a right to advocate for terrorism in the United States.”
What’s totally ironic is these same leftists who are protesting against Israel and are supporting an actual terrorist organization are participating in the very same kind of racial and religious hatred they claim others are guilty of, but their own cognitive dissonance has left them unable to see their own hypocrisy.
