Former President Donald Trump has to be one of the most attacked politicians in the history of our country. How many public figures who have served in the highest office in the land can claim to have faced down four indictments, two impeachments, endless attempts to slander and libel his name by claiming he’s a racist and colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election — which has been debunked — and is still the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination?
Absolutely no one. Trump truly is one of a kind.
And much of the reason he is in trouble is because he doesn’t allow the radical left in this country to intimidate him into being silent. He says what he means and means what he says, a rare character trait for one to possess in the realm of politics.
The fact he stands boldly on conservative principles and fulfills his promises makes him dangerous to the left. Thus, they have allocated an insane amount of their resources to attacking him whenever they can.
According to Newsmax:
Former President Donald Trump, speaking outside the Manhattan courthouse where his civil fraud trial continues, accused the government, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, of using “vicious lies” about him in connection with the case. Further, he told reporters that if he were still president, the attacks on Israel and Ukraine would not have happened.
“The attorney general is sitting inside, spending her whole day, day after day, when people are being murdered on the streets and sidewalks of New York, violent crime,” the former president said. “No business is going to move into New York. [They] used a statute on me that’s never been used, not once has it ever been used for anything like this … any company coming to New York would be crazy because it’s a setup. It’s a rigged trial.”
The trial against the Trump Organization is in its third week and centers around allegations that the former president and his company inflated the worth of property and assets to secure more favorable bank loan terms.
Judge Arthur Engoron is presiding over the bench trial, and Trump Wednesday complained that he didn’t get a jury or “anything. We have no rights whatsoever,” and referred to Engoron as “hostile.”
“We have all of the evidence on our side,” he stated. “They have nothing and it’s a case that should have never been brought … this case is a disgrace to our nation, a disgrace to New York and New York state.”
According to the former president, the banks were also “very happy,” citing testimony, and saying he would be back in court on Thursday as his civil trial continues, rather than making an appearance at the Trump National Doral Golf Club located in Miami, Florida.
“I was going to go to it, but I find this very interesting,” Trump, who isn’t actually required by law to attend the trial, explained.
The former president pivoted the conversation away from the trial and toward the horrific terrorist attacks in Israel, perpetrated by Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas, stating that if he were the one at the helm right now, “Israel would not have been attacked,” however, when he was asked, he revealed he might still pay Israel a visit, explaining “I believe in letting them do what they have to do. They have to straighten it out.”
I believe he’s right. Israel would not have been attacked by Hamas if he had been president. Trump was actively working toward achieving peace in the Middle East during his presidency, a lofty goal no doubt, but he was making solid progress, much more so than others who came before him.
