Brand new documents that popped up on Wednesday have revealed that Democratic California Congressman Adam Schiff has actually been living in the state of Maryland for at least two decades. As anyone with a basic knowledge of the Constitution will tell you, this is a definite problem for Schiff’s eligibility to run for office in California and may throw a wrench in the works of his current Senate campaign. It couldn’t happen to a better guy. Really.
Check out the details from the Daily Caller:
Mortgage records revealed Schiff claimed his 3,420 square foot property in Maryland as his primary residence, according to CNN. The congressman also reportedly claimed his 650 square foot condo in Burbank, California, as his primary residence to reduce his $7,000 tax bill.
Is @AdamSchiff’s primary residence really California, or is it Maryland?
It depends on which claim most financially benefits him.
The candidate for California’s Senate seat often claims Maryland, and it seems clear that’s where he really lives.https://t.co/cI0bRXlC81 pic.twitter.com/hBnzkIbh23

Schiff did not take an exemption on his Maryland home, the outlet reported. However, he reportedly signed documents stating both his Maryland and California properties were primary residences. A spokesperson for Schiff, Marisol Samayoa, claims the congressman’s primary residence is in California.
“Adam’s primary residence is Burbank, California, and will remain so when he wins the Senate seat,” Samayoa said during a conversation with CNN. “As Adam has discussed openly many times over the years, including in his recent New York Times best-selling book, he and Eve made the difficult decision to move their family to the D.C. area to spend more time with his children while doing his job.”
According to the news outlet, the reason this came up was because Schiff paid his California property taxes back in 2017 with a check that had his Maryland address on. The check was the only year that he used a personal check to pay taxes. Bet he regrets that now.
CNN went on to point out that public records, past comments, and even photographs that he has posted on his public social media accounts seemingly indicate Maryland is his main residence. In fact, back in 2003, the property was listed as the California congressman’s main residence, along with the period between 2009 to 2012 after Schiff refinanced his home.
“Additionally, Los Angeles County deed records for Schiff’s California condo were notarized in Maryland, according to CNN. Maryland and Montgomery County were written in on the document and California and Los Angeles County were reportedly crossed out,” the Daily Caller continued.
Schiff first announced his candidacy for the California Senate back in January. In September, Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein passed away at 90, which then led to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom appointing Laphonza Butler to take her place.
Well, it certainly seems like the left cares little for following the rules, doesn’t it? Is it any wonder they ignore the Constitution and just do what they want? That will never change unless we force these people out of office during the next election and work on installing true conservatives in their place.
It won’t all be done at once, but starting with Schiff, who is apparently okay with bending, if not totally breaking the rules to get what he wants.
