There was a rather tense bout of verbal fisticuffs between Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy Thursday concerning the GOP hopeful’s position on Ukraine. During an interview on the program, Ramaswamy took a big shot at former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, also vying for the Republican Party nomination, for working as a contractor for Boeing after leaving office and making herself wealthy after leaving office and working with corporations.
Lawrence Jones, another co-host of the show, asked Ramaswamy if his tactic of launching verbal assaults against Haley was helping him any, given that Haley has been making some substantial gains in several key polls.
“I’d just like to know with his policy, it’s just ridiculous on Russia-Ukraine, he says ‘tell Russia basically they can have Ukraine if they promise not to have an alliance with China,’ I mean–” Kilmeade, who was broadcasting from New York Studios, went on to say before calling Ramaswamy back into the conversation.
“Vivek, are you comfortable with Russia taking as much of Ukraine as they want? Are you comfortable pulling all of our aid out and do you really believe that Vladimir Putin will agree not to have an alliance with China?” he asked.

Ramaswamy said the U.S. needs to play “hardball” and threaten “serious consequences” against Russia if they broke the deal, prompting Kilmeade to jump and ask “like what!”
“This war doesn’t advance U.S. interests–” Ramaswamy said before Kilmeade interjected.
“Yes it does, if you give up Eastern Europe– it is in our interest,” Kilmeade said.
Ramaswamy said current policy is driving Russia into China’s arms, prompting more disagreement from Kilmeade. Ramaswamy then said it’s a concern not knowing how Ukraine has spent U.S. aid before Kilmeade argued Ukrainians are the “best fighters in the world.”
The pharmaceutical executive-turned-presidential candidate then went on to call out Ukraine for assassinations, which led to Kilmeade striking back by calling him “naive”
“So naive, you give up Ukraine then in two years you’d be criticizing Joe Biden for giving up Ukraine,” Kilmeade fired back.
“You wanna call me naive? I actually understand what the heck I’m talking about here,” Ramaswamy replied.
“Really?” Kilmeade asked Ramaswamy.
The pair then engaged in another round of verbal sparring over the involvement of the United States in Ukraine, as Ramaswamy made the claim that Lloyd Austin has threatened to send American soldiers to Ukraine if the aid package doesn’t get passed in Congress. Kilmeade responded by informing Ramaswamy that he needs to pay attention and that the comments Austin made were in reference to Russia invading a NATO member.
It was at that point in the heated conversation that Kilmeade decided enough was enough and brought the segment to an end. Kilmeade is definitely a passionate kind of guy who has had these kind of tense exchanges with others in the past. However, it’s good to hold others accountable for their thoughts and beliefs, especially candidates for the presidency.
