Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat from the state of Pennsylvania who is infamous for rocking gym shorts and hoodies in the Capitol building and pretty much everywhere else, stated on Wednesday that he believes a good number of his fellow liberals in the Senate are hoping he falls victim to another blood clot and cashes a one-way ticket off this rock we call Earth. That wouldn’t surprise me. Leftists have a tendency to be merciless while claiming to be the party all about mercy and tolerance and love. Ironic, right?
Just like everything else about progressivism, it makes zero sense.
“What I have found out over the last couple years is that the right, and now the left, are hoping that I die. There are ones that are rooting for another blood clot. They have both now been wishing that I die,” Fetterman remarked during an interview with the New York Times.

Here’s more from the Daily Caller:
The comments come after Fetterman made news by breaking with Democrats over support for Israel, calling for the resignation of New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez after he was indicted and demanding stronger border policies to deal with the border crisis. Earlier in December, Fetterman said he is “not a progressive” after being asked about his differences with Democrats.
“I’m not a progressive,” Fetterman stated in a recent appearance on NBC News. “I just think I’m a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things. But with Israel, I’m going to be on the right side of that. And immigration is something near and dear to me, and I think we do have to effectively address it as well.”
The fact Fetterman has taken a more or less typically conservative stance on the issue of Israel is likely why he is catching a lot of heat from the more diehard liberals in his camp. Over the course of the last decade or so, it’s become rather common place for Democrats to be set against Israel as a matter of foreign policy. At first, this sort of thing was a simple disagreement with some of the Jewish state’s manner of handling things involving the people of Palestine, located in Gaza, but things have taken a more sinister turn with Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota being elected into office. Both are Democrats.
Each of these ladies, both members of the “Squad,” have made numerous comments that are anti-Semitic in nature, for which Omar herself has been censured for. Tlaib has placed a Palestinian flag outside her office, refusing to take it down even after terrorists from Hamas launched a horrific attack on the Israeli people, showing she has little concern for those of Jewish decent.
The narrative they push is that Israel is nothing more than a bunch of colonialist invaders who have been oppressing the Palestinians, when, in reality, what’s going on is Islamic radicals have waged a holy war on their enemies, just as the Quran prescribes. We cannot talk about peace in the Middle East until we can finally admit that Islam is the problem and then work together to come up with a solution.
