The judge who is currently presiding over the alleged fraud case of former President Donald Trump has completely rejected a request made by his legal team to postpone on the formalizing of the ruling for a time period of 30 days. Man, these folks are determined to hammer Trump and to dismantle everything he’s worked for. All of the allegations made against the former president concerning his reason for running for the White House — which, for some reason, liberals think is because of money — aren’t true. It can’t be true.
He’s not gaining much at all from anything he’s done. America benefited from his time in office, but he himself, what did he get out of it all? Mercilessly attacked every single day? Impeached twice? His businesses penalized? No, it seems clear Trump is running for office because he truly believes he has the solutions to our nation’s problems. He’s a billionaire. He has nothing at all to gain from presidential salary.
Here’s more on the judge’s decision via Newsmax:
As reported by CBS News, Judge Arthur Engoron of the New York State Supreme Court made his decision known in an email directed to the ex-president’s legal team and the New York Attorney General’s Office CBS said Engoron announced his intention to sign a judgment proposed by the state to finalize the high-priced ruling.
“You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay,” Engoron wrote in comments addressed to Trump attorney Clifford Robert, CBS said. “I am confident that the Appellate Division will protect your appellate rights.”
ABC News reportedThursday that a lawyer for the defendants had asked Engoron to delay the enforcement of penalties — that included the $354 million fine and a temporary New York business ban — to allow for an “orderly post-judgment process.”
In a letter sent to the judge by state attorney Andrew Amer, there was “no room for further debate” concerning the judgment after the ruling last Friday. The request was made in light of the case’s judgment order, which is a document that starts a clock for the penalties related to the ruling. Once Judge Engoron puts his signature on the judgment order, the former president will have a period of 30 days to either pay off the massive fines or post bond, which then allows him to file an appeal.
Last Friday, Engoron ruled that Trump and the Trump Organization must pay the many millions of dollars in fines, plus interest, as a penalty for a decadelong scheme to inflate the value of assets. That inflation is said to have opened the door to more favorable loan and insurance terms.
The judge also slapped a ban on the Trumps to prevent them from getting loans from financial institutions located in New York for a period of three years. He then revealed that an independent monitor would be responsible for overseeing the company for the same span of time. Trump was also hit with a ban that prevents him from serving as the officer or director for any corporation in the state for a period of three years.
Leftists want to make an example out of Trump. They want to scare his followers into being silent. They want the resistance to their tyranny to stop, thus they are trying to strike the shepherd to get to the sheep. Don’t fall for it.
