President Joe Biden once again alarmed folks concerning the state of his mental acuity this week after he bumbled around looking for a microphone and then informed members of the press that he would not be taking their questions because he would “get in trouble.” What in the world does that mean? Is he under orders not to take questions? Whose orders? If someone is giving the president orders, wouldn’t that mean said person is in charge? Yikes.
The incident in question took place on Tuesday toward the end of a White House press event held to launch a task force called the White House Competition Council in order to fight back against the current obscenely high cost of living. Which this administration caused, by the way.
Here’s more from Newsmax:
Biden mumbled something about questions, then picked up the microphone and said, “I better not start the questions, I’ll get in trouble.”
Reporters then started shouting questions at him while a White House press handler could be heard in the background shooing them out while Biden just stared.
“Oh my Lord. This man is not well,” former Democrat campaign adviser Peter Daou posted to X.
It’s not the first time Biden has invoked “trouble” for taking questions from reporters.
As the New York Postdocumented in May 2021, Biden told reporters, “I’m not supposed to be answering all these questions” under then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
Just a month later, Biden spoke with a reporter saying “he’d get in trouble with staff if I don’t do this the right way.”
As the briefing drew to a close, Biden started to walk away.
“I’m going to get in trouble with my staff,” he stated. “Yeah, go ahead. But I can pretend that I didn’t answer you.”
“He takes questions nearly every day he’s out from the press. That is not something we recommend,” Psaki went on to say. “In fact, a lot of times, we say, ‘Don’t take questions.’ But he’s going to do what he wants to do because he’s the president of the United States.”‘
Didn’t Biden promise during his 2020 campaign he would have the most transparent administration in our country’s history? It’s kind of hard to do that if he’s never, ever allowed to take a question, right? It’s pretty clear his handlers know that he’s a disaster waiting to happen and are trying to minimize the damage he does with his gaffes, but it’s too little, too late. That ship has sailed.
People don’t believe Biden is fit for duty. In fact a recent poll discovered that 86 percent of those who responded to the survey think the president is too old to serve a second term. No kidding. The guy is in his 80s. He doesn’t walk. He shuffles. He constantly falls down the stairs. He can’t even remember the year his son passed away, nor what he passed away from, constantly getting confused and stating he died in Iraq. He actually died of brain cancer.
It’s time for someone with a solid head on their shoulders to sit in the Oval Office.
