Earlier this week, a former top adviser who worked for Dr. Anthony Fauci when he was the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases bragged about how he deleted “smoking gun” email messages that were related to the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to his being raked over the coals by the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Pandemic as he was subpoenaed by them to answer questions concerning his comments.
The aide, Dr. David Morens, worked under Fauci between the years of 1997 to 2022. Now he will be compelled by law to provide testimony concerning several major potential violations of federal record-keeping laws and attempts to obstruct an investigation into the government’s response to the pandemic.
And that’s not all. Morens ended up getting obliterated by Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan for his actions during an appearance on Fox Business.

Here’s more on Morens from the New York Post’s report on the topic:
The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has subpoenaed Morens, who served under Fauci from 1998 to 2022, for “confidential” emails about lab biosafety and other communications related to a controversial National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant funneled to the Wuhan Institute of Virology that Morens sent from his private account.
Earlier emails obtained by the House subcommittee also showed Morens used the private email address to dodge Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from media.
Morens wrote in a Sept. 9, 2021, email that he would “always communicate on gmail [sic] because my NIH email is FOIA’d constantly” and “delete anything I don’t want to see in the New York Times.”
In a tense hearing last week with NIH principal deputy director Lawrence Tabak, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) revealed that Morens had informed the now-suspended grant recipient for the Wuhan lab funding that he learned “how to make emails disappear” from FOIA searches.
The general corruption and incompetence of the federal government in handling the pandemic is becoming more and more obvious by the day. And it’s terrifying. Not only because our government was not at all prepared to deal with the virus, but because they saw it as an opportunity to usurp more power and authority from the hands of the American people, rather than seeking to protect individual rights by upholding the Constitution, which is the very purpose the government was created for.
What’s really alarming is how the radical left used this pandemic as a means to help with their efforts to ensure former President Donald Trump was not reelected in 2020. What’s to stop these folks from doing this all over again? It’s pretty safe to say this year’s election cycle is far more important than the last one. I know, I know. People say that every time.
But when you look at how many of our personal liberties have been wiped away since Biden took office, this should alarm you. Each and every day, progressives are working to get more and more tiny pieces of their agenda passed in this country. If we don’t hold officials accountable for their actions, we’re going to be in big trouble.
