Talking heads on the left seem to be bound and determined to prove that liberalism is indeed a mental illness and it goes by the name “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Which, apparently, has expanded to include former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate, JD Vance. Allow me to present to you very fine people, exhibit A.
According to RealClearPolitics, Rachel Maddow, a host for extreme left-wing network MSNBC, recently discussed on her program how folks on the political right just love to use references to JRR Tolkien’s masterpiece, “Lord of the Rings,” taking a high dive deep into the waters of conspiracy theories by making the suggestion that Peter Thiel’s company, “Palantir,” and Vance’s “Narya Capital,” are just racist dog-whistles, not really just names from a series of fantasy books.
Someone better call the closest mental ward immediately and inform the men in white coats that Maddow is off her medication again.
The MSNBC host said that Vance’s company, Narya, is easy to “remember because it is ‘Aryan” but with the N moved forward.”
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this wackadoo really said this and meant it. Further solidifying that she has no earthly idea what she’s talking about, Maddow added, “Apparently that word has something to do with elves and rings from the Lord of the Rings series. I don’t know.”
If you don’t really have any sort of evidence to support your claims and you have no idea what you’re talking about, why flap your gums on the topic and make a complete fool of yourself? I guess that’s sort of the natural state of being for a Democrat.
RACHEL MADDOW: Like Mr. Thiel who has named his companies after things in the Lord of the Rings series of J.R.R. Tolkien books, Lord of the Rings is sort of a favorite cosmos for naming things and cultural references for a lot of far-right and alt-right figures within Europe and the United States.
Peter Thiel names things after Tolkien figures and places, like his company Palantir for example. Like his mentor, like Peter Thiel, who had given him all his jobs in the world, Mr. Vance also when he founded his own venture capital firm with help from Peter Thiel named it after a Lord of the Rings thing. He called it Narya — N-A-R-Y-A — which you can remember because it is Aryan but with the N moved forward. Apparently, that word has something to do with elves and rings from the Lord of the Rings series. I don’t know.
Oof.
This is what passes for hard reporting for left-wing Democrats. No regard for facts or truth whatsoever. All that matters is pushing and presenting a specific narrative, one that makes emotional appeals and makes folks both scared and angry. You know, so they end up firing bullets at former presidents and things of that nature.
You cannot reason with people like this. They have simply made their way too far deep into their own delusion. So deep in fact, they actually believe their own propaganda, despite the fact they are the ones who cooked it up.
