CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins ended up getting utterly humiliated by the mostly left-wing audience of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday night after the show host made a comment stating that Collins’ network is objective in its news coverage. The audience laughed their backsides off, proving once again that not a single person, left or right, with a functioning set of brain cells, will ever make the claim that legacy news outlets are objective.
“I know you guys are objective over there, that you just report the news as it is,” Colbert went on to say to former Daily Caller reporter Kaitlan Collins. As soon as the words left his mouth, the audience erupted into laughter, which then seemingly caught Colbert off guard. You can tell it flustered him. I have to say. Seeing Colbert uncomfortable like that was very amusing.
“No, I know, CNN makes uhhh …” Colbert stumbled over his words with a wry smile.
“Was that supposed to be a laugh line?” Collins then asked him.
“It wasn’t supposed to be, but I guess it is,” Colbert responded, laughing.

Colbert went on to explain that CNN employees “still have your own feelings and your own bets about what’s going to happen on a daily basis.” The comical and genuine reaction from the audience displays a trend in growing media mistrust from Americans, particularly with young people.
Trust in traditional news media among adults under 30-years-old is at an all-time low, according to the Pew Research Center. In fact, adults between the ages of 18 and 29 now trust news they get from social media almost as much as from national broadcast news, according to Pew. 50 percent of adults in the 18-29 group say they trust the news they get from social media versus 56 percent who said they trust news from national broadcast media, Pew’s research shows.
Lots of people have had their eyes opened over the course of the Biden administration. They’re now seeing that there is a network of leftists within the government, within the activist movement, and the news media that are doing their best to shove propaganda down the throats of the American people. Delusional, progressives truly buy into the lie that they can perfect humanity and create a utopian society. But they have to force everyone on board with their belief system. So they utilize media outlets for the creation of propaganda in order to tell effective stories that grab people by their emotions instead of logic.
And that’s how you get the mess we’re in now.
Let’s hope this “great awakening” means less left-wing voters at the polls in November.
