President-elect Donald Trump’s choice for “border czar,” Tom Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has a message for all those Democratic governors out there who are already refusing to participate in aiding federal authorities in what will turn out to be the largest mass deportation operation in the history of the country as soon as Trump is sworn into office: get the hell out of the way.
Man, this guy does not mince words. It’s no wonder Trump seems to like him so much. He gets things done and is not at all afraid to speak his mind. He’s dedicated to enforcing law and order, ensuring our borders are secured and American cities are safe once again. We haven’t seen any of this in the current administration who has essentially left the border wide open for anyone who wants to mosey on over. And if that isn’t bad enough, the president and his people have practically bent over backwards to give illegal migrants all kinds of free goodies, including housing and healthcare.
Meanwhile, the economy is taking and actual American citizens have been suffering immensely, barely able to provide for their families on a weekly basis.
“If they’re not willing to help, then get the hell out of the way because ICE is going to do their job,” Homan said to Fox News Digital in an interview at the end of last week.
Here’s more from Fox News:
Trump announced on Sunday that Homan will be appointed “border czar” and would be in charge of the borders and “all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their country of origin” in the new administration. Before that announcement, Fox News asked Homan about comments by Democratic governors who have indicated they will not work with the administration on the mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Mass. Gov. Maura Healey said last week that “every tool in the tool box has got to be used to protect our citizens, to protect our residents and protect our states and to hold the line on democracy and the rule of law as a basic principle.”
When the governor was asked by reporters if state police would be lending ICE a hand in the deportation operation she swiftly replied, “No. Absolutely not.”
Homan, a contributor with Fox, revealed that he thinks some of these sanctuary cities will still end up providing support for the federal government’s plan to boot illegal migrants from the country.
“They’re not going to say it, but with all the alien crime and the young women being sexually assaulted and murdered, some sheriffs have been coming forward and working with us behind the scenes,” he stated during the interview.
However, while he said it would be useful to have the “force multiplier” of assistance from state and local governments, and for agents to have access to county jails where serious illegal immigrant criminals are locked up, he said that a lack of that aid would not stop the operations. “If you don’t want to work with us, then get the hell out all the way, we’re going to do it. What it means is, rather than send 100 people to Boston, we’re going to send 200 agents to Boston. We’re going to get the job done,” he said.
“We have a mandate. I think the American people just gave President Trump a mandate. That’s why he’s elected — to secure the border, save lives and deport people, especially national security threats and public safety threats. So if you’re not going to help us, step aside, but don’t get in our way, because there will be consequences,” Homan commented.
The first order of business for ICE will be to track down and deport any illegal migrants who have either criminal convictions or charges brought against them. When Trump was in the Oval Office for his first term, this was a top priority as well. What’s really twisted is how many liberals will look at this effort and call it “racist” and draw comparisons to Nazi Germany, despite the fact we actually have legal and ethical precedent to kick these folks back to their country of origin. Not to mention the horrendous crimes these people are committing against our own citizens.
“It’s not going to be a massive sweep of neighborhoods, it’s not going to be massive raids. It’s going to be a targeted enforcement operation,” he explained to Fox. That doesn’t mean that all others here illegally are in the clear. “If you’re in a country illegally, you’ve got a problem.”
Homan argues that with millions of people having entered illegally across the southern border under the Biden administration, there has to be consequences for those who are found not to have a valid asylum claim, or else there is no true due process. “There will be a massive deportation operation because we had massive never seen before illegal immigration where 90% will be ordered removed. It’s common sense,” he said.
Homan believes that once all of the incentives for crossing illegally are brought to an end, a lot of people here illegally will choose to leave on their own.
“It depends on resources, depends on the money. But I guarantee you that President Trump means what he says and there will be a green light to enforce our laws and secure that border. And that’s going to require a mass deportation operation,” he continued during the interview.
