President-elect Donald Trump has absolutely been killing it with picks for the cabinet of his incoming administration. I mean, Kash Patel for FBI Director? Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy for DOGE taking on government waste spending? And now we have learned that the president-elect has picked Fox News contributor Monica Crowley to be an Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief Protocol of the U.S.
Okay, everybody, it’s time to give Trump a round of slow applause. On your feet. Let’s go. The man has more than earned it.
In a post on social media, Trump made the announcement saying, “I am honored to nominate Monica Elizabeth Crowley, Ph.D. to serve as Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief of Protocol of the United States of America. Monica will be the Administration Representative for major U.S. hosted events, including America’s 250th Birthday in 2026, the FIFA World cup in 2026, and the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.”
He added, “During my First Term, Monica did an incredible job as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs. For her exceptional service, she received the Alexander Hamilton Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Department. Monica is a New York Times bestselling author, and has been a popular anchor, and political and foreign affairs analyst, for the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, among others. A graduate of Colgate University, she holds two Master’s degrees, and a Doctorate in International Relations, from Columbia University.”
Trump finished his announcement saying, “She will be an extraordinary Representative of our Country. Congratulations, Monica!”

Once again, a great pick from the president-elect. Trump has truly learned his lesson concerning who to choose for his cabinet. This time around, he’s looked at individuals who have a well established track record for not only supporting conservative values and principles but actually living them out in their private lives. Many of us have watched Crowley stand up for truth on Fox News for many years. No doubt she will continue to do that in the new positions she’ll occupy in the Trump administration.
Another bonus about choosing Crowley is that she shouldn’t have a problem getting through the confirmation process in the Senate. A lot of those whom Trump has chosen face tough battles getting confirmed thanks to a few members of the GOP establishment such as Sen. John Thune who is the new Senate Majority Leader. He’s no friend to the incoming president or MAGA crowd. Let’s hope enough pressure is exerted to convince him not to stand in the way of Trump’s agenda.
