Failed Democratic Party vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, who is currently serving as the governor for the state of Minnesota, is catching a whole lot of heat after he posted an extremely awkward holiday video on social media platform X that left viewers confused and feeling icky. I mean, we’re talking about a guy who has a million and one rumors floating about that he’s a closeted homosexual. Awkward ought to be his middle name.
The video, which Walz addressed to his daughter Hope, shows the governor and his blushing bride sharing “holiday traditions,” while they decorate a Christmas tree with ornaments they made themselves, one of which was an angel constructed out of a toilet paper roll. Is it any wonder this dude did not connect with American voters? Yikes.
Walz’s post was captioned, “Remember to share holiday traditions like decorating the tree with your kids even if they’re out of town.”
“Hey Hope, Mom and Dad here,” Walz begins in the nearly one-minute video while pointing out various keepsake ornaments from years past. His wife chimes in with remarks about a reindeer-themed decoration and a basketball ornament made by their son, Gus. But it was the final display—a toilet paper roll angel—that really set off the online roasting.
“You’re going to love this,” Walz goes on to say as he holds up the battered angel ornament. His wife then says, “You made it. Do you see your little hands here? They’re the angel wings.” The camera lingers for way, way too long on the homemade decoration as Walz puts it on the tree.
His wife then proclaims, “Joy to the world!” which only serves to make the moment even more weird. If this doesn’t make you drop to your knees in a prayer of thanksgiving to God that we don’t have this man as our next vice president, what will? Seriously. The Lord has been gracious and spared us from the cringe.
The video started to get a lot of views on social media, but for none of the right reasons, with many users on X referring to it as “weird,” “downright bizarre,” and “creepy.”
Do the tampons get hung on the tree, or on the fireplace with care? pic.twitter.com/qU51g1LSPU

Are your windows open for the most recent burning of our great state

Yikes. Just yikes.
I would almost feel bad for the people of Minnesota having this weirdo as their governor, but hey, they voted for him so they’re getting exactly what they deserve. As the saying goes, we get the kind of leaders God feels we deserve. I don’t know exactly what Minnesota did to tick Him off, but they reap what they sow.
