Actor James Woods, an outspoken conservative and diehard patriot, was forced to watch his home burn as a group of wildfires continue to engulf the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. As of now, it’s being reported that well over a thousand structures have been destroyed or damaged by the flames, most of which are homes. Folks, if you believe in the power of prayer, toss a few up for the people of L.A.
According to the Providence Journal, Woods, who hails from the state of Rhode Island and has a home there, has been posting up videos of social media platform X that show his neighborhood being burned to the ground. He has been continually posting updates on the situation on the ground. He also made an appearance on CNN where he teared up talking about the destruction and then went off on Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
“All the smoke detectors are going off in our house and transmitting to our iPhones,” he stated in one of his posts. “I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills held on this long. It feels like losing a loved one.”
That’s absolutely gut-wrenching. When you live in a place long enough, it’s not just shelter from the elements anymore. You make memories there with the people who matter the most to you. You spend your brightest days and darkest nights there. The most growth you make as a person will happen in your own living room. A house becomes a home. Houses can be replaced. A home is much more difficult to come by.
He also shared that the home has been recently renovated, and had taken fire prevention measures such as “pathways on our hillside with sprinkler systems that can be remotely managed. We also did brush clearance per local fire prevention mandates,” he wrote. Shortly after that, Woods also posted a photo of Chief Crowley on X, stating, “Refilling the water reservoirs would have been a welcome priority, too, but I guess she had too much on her plate promoting diversity.”
Before his post about the fire chief, Woods had previously stated, “We were blessed to have LA fire and police depts doing their jobs so well. We are safe and out. There are several elementary schools in our neighborhood and there was an enormous community effort to evacuate the children safely. Can not speak more highly of the LA fire and LAPD.”
“My heart goes out to to my good friend James Woods, he lost his home but he and his wife are safe. That’s the most important thing, you can always rebuild a house but not your life. God bless you James!” an account on X called Real Ben Garrison Cartoons posted concerning the emotional interview James Woods did on CNN.

It’s hard to watch a strong man cry, knowing how deeply such a loss has impacted him and his family. But let’s not forget all the others who are going through a similar experience. Pray these fires come to an end before any more lives are lost and property damaged.
