President-elect Donald Trump’s sentencing was held on Friday concerning the Manhattan case brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Brag. The case featured 34 felony charges of alleged fraudulent record keeping involving a potential “hush money” payment made to former porn star Stormy Daniels during his first run for the White House in 2016. Despite being found guilty, Judge Juan Merchan sentenced him to an unconditional discharge for all counts, meaning he is not getting any sort of punishment.
Do you need any more proof this whole farce was politically motivated? The evidence seems to point toward this case being designed as “lawfare,” a weapon in the hands of deep state actors within our government who have taken the Justice Department and started to utilize it as a means of silencing progressive opposition.
Obviously, they failed miserably in their attempt to destroy Trump, as he won the Electoral College, all seven swing states, and the popular vote by a YUGE margin. And, in order to take one final shot at the president-elect, holding this sentencing formalizes his status as a convicted felon.
Trump wasted no time taking an opportunity to rip into Judge Merchan for the sentencing and all of the consequences that are coming about as a result.
QPresident-elect Donald Trump stated during Friday ‘s sentencing in his Manhattan case that Judge Juan Merchan caused a “tremendous setback” for the New York court system by holding his sentencing hearing days before he is set to enter office. The president-elect appeared for his sentencing virtually Friday after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the New York appeals courts’ rejections to further delay his hearing in a 5-4 decision. Trump stated that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against him has been a “terrible experience” and that he never should have been charged, according to The New York Times.
“This has been a very terrible experience. I think it’s been a tremendous setback for the American court system,” Trump remarked about the whole trial.
Trump further cited legal experts, including George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley and CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig, who said the case should not have been brought and that he won the 2024 election after the American people witnessed the case “first-hand,” according to the Times.
“I was treated very, very unfairly, and I thank you very much,” the incoming president finished.

Back in May, a jury convicted Trump on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. Keep in mind this jury featured members who were picked from the people of Manhattan, an area that is openly hostile toward the president-elect. To say he didn’t receive a fair trial would be an understatement. All the odds were heavily against him. Yet he still won the White House. Americans have truly had enough of the radical left.
Following the sentencing, Trump said on Truth Social that the “despicable charade” of a case will be appealed to “restore the trust of Americans” and the legal system.
“The real Jury, the American People, have spoken, by Re-Electing me with an overwhelming MANDATE in one of the most consequential Elections in History,” Trump wrote in the post. “As the American People have seen, this “case” had no crime, no damages, no proof, no facts, no Law, only a highly conflicted Judge, a star witness who is a disbarred, disgraced, serial perjurer, and criminal Election Interference. Today’s event was a despicable charade, and now that it is over, we will appeal this Hoax, which has no merit, and restore the trust of Americans in our once great System of Justice. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
