A brand new poll has been released from Emerson College that reveals President Donald Trump, just a few days into his second presidential term, is viewed more favorably than New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat. Guys, I think it’s official. Progressivism is dying in our culture. It’s on its deathbed, gasping for air. I, for one, could not be happier about it all.
According to Mediaite, the poll, which was published on Thursday, said 48 percent of those who participated in the survey had a favorable view of the new president, while 46 percent had an unfavorable view. The other 6 percent remained neutral. Trump has a slight edge over Murphy who had a favorable view of 44 percent and an unfavorable view of 42 percent. A total of 12 percent were neutral concerning the governor, while 2 percent had never heard of him.
Okay, let’s pause for just a moment. You mean to tell me there’s two percent of the population of New Jersey who don’t have a clue who their own governor is? I know that seems like a small amount, but the fact that this particular figure exists at all is shameful to say the least. No wonder our nation is in shambles.
Voters in the poll were split straight down the middle on whether or not New Jersey is currently headed down the right path.
“Perception of the direction of the state varies by party: 70% of Democrats think the state is headed in the right direction,” Emerson College Polling executive director Spencer Kimball went on to say, “while 64% of Republicans and 68% of independents feel New Jersey is on the wrong track.”
New Jersey voters were also asked about New York City’s controversial congestion pricing, which has introduced a $9 toll for drivers entering Manhattan’s central business district. According to the Emerson poll, 57% of NJ voters opposed the measure. Murphy himself has also opposed congestion pricing, calling it a “disaster” and urging Trump to intervene.
Trump’s favorable numbers come months after a presidential race that was surprisingly close in the Garden State. Then-Vice President Kamala Harris won the state 52-46 over Trump, but that six-point margin — as noted by NJ.com — is the best showing by a Republican presidential candidate in more than 30 years. In the previous two elections, Trump lost the state by double digits.
Democrats have really done a doozy on the American people. More and more folks are being awakened to reality, having tasted the bitter flavor of progressive policy for themselves. And now we as a society are now in the process of throwing it all back up. It’s a painful process. The cramps suck. But we know we’ll feel a whole lot better when he get it all out.
