President Donald Trump continues to win big with his Cabinet picks, as yet another big one has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate in a vote of 72-28. Brooke Rollins has been confirmed as the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture.
Rollins most recently served as the president and CEO of the American First Policy Institute, which is a conservative think tank that she helped to found after Trump’s first term in the White House. During his first administration, Rollins was the president’s director of the Office of American Innovation and acting director of the Domestic Policy Council.
Trump announced Rollins as his pick for head of the USDA back in November, stating that she did “an incredible job” during his first go as commander-in-chief.
“Brooke’s commitment to support the American Farmer, defense of American Food Self-Sufficiency, and the restoration of Agriculture-dependent American Small Towns is second to none,” he went on to say at the time. “As our next Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke will spearhead the effort to protect American Farmers, who are truly the backbone of our Country. Congratulations Brooke!”
“The USDA nominee had a hearing before the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee last month, before advancing past the key hurdle,” Fox News said.
“The committee decision to move her nomination forward was unanimous, giving her bipartisan backing going into her confirmation vote,” the report continued. “Rollins is now the 16th Cabinet official confirmed to serve in Trump’s new administration. With the help of the Republican-led Senate, Trump has managed to confirm his picks at a pace far ahead of either his first administration or former President Joe Biden’s.”
At this same time during Trump’s first term, the president only had 11 of his picks confirmed. Biden did way worse with only having 7.
Radical leftists want desperately to stop Trump’s selections from being confirmed. It’s the only way, at this point, to stop the agenda from going forward. However, they lack the majority in both the House and Senate to pull that off, thus, Trump has been winning left and right.
Liberals fear seeing these individuals put in charge of agencies they once ruled. Not only can their previous work be undone, but these folks will send them in an opposite direction. Through their implementation of Trump’s agenda for the various areas they are to oversee, the march through various institutions can begin and we might finally see America make the comeback we’ve been begging for.
