Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth revealed during an exclusive interview with Breitbart on Thursday that Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency are “already” taking a look into the waste spending going on at the Pentagon. These guys are incredible. Look at how much they’ve done already and it’s only been a few weeks.
Just imagine what they can do with two years? We’re taking this country back, ladies and gentlemen. And when I say “we” I mean all of us, the people of this nation. We’re back in charge.
“We’re already in the process,” he went on to say when asked when DOGE would begin taking a gander at the Pentagon. “It’s ongoing.”
He then revealed that he’s hoping to welcome Musk to the building “at some point just to have a personal conversation and look at what they’ve already uncovered in other places in government.”
Musk has been causing all kinds of havoc within the federal government, just by simply doing the job he was appointed by the president to do, which is identifying cases of wasteful spending by our federal government in its various agencies and departments. Like the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, for example.
And while liberal critics are quick to yell and scream — as they tend to do — the SpaceX CEO’s efforts to save taxpayer dollars and reduce our deficit have largely been met with applause and glad tidings from the American people, from Trump supporters and those who hate his guts alike.
Saving money should definitely be the thing that brings us all together. Who doesn’t like to save money? A crazy person, that’s who.
“Hegseth — who has already made cutting wasteful spending at the Pentagon one of his top goals — said he did not think there would be the same kind of waste found at the Pentagon as at USAID, but said “there’s plenty of places” to reduce spending,” the report said.
The secretary of defense then made mention of a post on Truth Social from the president that said, “DOGE: Looks like Radical Left Reuters was paid $9,000,000 by the Department of Defense to study “large scale social deception.” GIVE BACK THE MONEY, NOW!”
“I mean — why are we spending DO to so -called media outlets? Stuff like that we need to find, and we need to stop it. DOD is unique for its size, the amount of money it spends, which means by nature, there are gonna be efficiencies, redundancies, staffing numbers at headquarters levels that need to be addressed,” he stated.
In a bit of strangeness, there was an unofficial piece of paper attached to the door of a women’s bathroom at the Pentagon that contained photos of the 15 members of DOGE who will be working in the building with a caption that said, “Meet the DOGE team.”
