If you’re wondering who could potentially take up the MAGA mantle following President Donald Trump’s exit after his second term, a new poll has revealed the answer and honestly, it’s a no-brainer. Vice President JD Vance is far, far ahead of any potential competitors for the presidency.
While Vance is flying high, many of the other individuals who made the list are seeing historic lows. One such potential candidate is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who many thought would end up giving Trump a run for his money during the 2024 presidential primary, but ultimately, he blew $100 million on a campaign that flatlined on Super Tuesday.
The poll revealed that a total of 46 percent would back Vance if he runs for the White House in 2028. And when you look at his previous debates, the way he handled himself on the campaign trail and during the first few months of the Trump administration, it’s clear he’s the right choice for the job.
When Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Vance last month about the speculation that he would be running in the next presidential election he simply said, “We’ll see.” Good answer. Vance is keeping things focused on the current administration and the work they’re trying to accomplish.
“I’d say that we’ve not thought a lot about politics in the last six months,” he continued, “but the way that I think about this is, the best thing for my future is actually the best thing for the American people, which is that we do a really good job over the next three and a half years.”
“When it comes to the competition, Vance doesn’t have much. DeSantis registers at just 7%, an all-time low according to pollster Echelon Insights. That leaves him tied for second place with former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Behind them sits Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 4%,” Trending News Politics said.
“Since Echelon’s last poll on February 10th, DeSantis has dropped from 10% and now couldn’t even count on winning his home state. A poll by Fabrizio Lee & Associates showed Vance besting the governor 47% to 33% among Florida’s Republican primary voters,” the report added.
Also this week, Democrats salivated at the prospect of Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg jumping into the race for president after he declined to seek the Senate seat being vacated by Gary Peters (D-MI). Allies told Politico that he intends to mount a serious second bid for the White House after falling short in 2020 only to be picked up by former President Joe Biden for a cabinet position.
I don’t think anyone in this country seriously wants to see a President Pete “Booty Juice” Buttigieg. We would truly become the laughing stock of the world, even worse than when we had Dementia Joe in office. Can you imagine the memes and jokes that would be tossed about all over the globe? Yikes.
“Part of Buttigieg’s calculus will indubitably be whether former Vice President Kamala Harris makes another run herself. Since leaving the White House in January, Harris has been focused on publishing a new memoir chronicling her rise to power and upbringing in California,” TPN reported.
Boy, the field of potential candidates for the Democratic Party really are scraping the bottom of the barrel. If Kamala Harris runs for president again and nabs the nomination, it will be clear that Democrats never, ever want to win another election again.
Harris is also currently considering a campaign for governor in the state of California next year, 2026. However, should she toss her had in the ring for president, 41 percent of Democrats said they’d go for her over basically anyone else.
Again, these people don’t really want to win. And that’s good for America’s future.
