Illinois Sen. Dick Dubrin, a raging Democrat, only managed to raise a piddly $42,695 during the first three months of 2025, which could result in his deciding not to run for reelection. I’m sure that news just leaves everyone feeling emotionally devastated, right? No? Me neither.
A third of the money Drubin managed to scrape up from individual donors came from small-dollar contributions, which is a sign that the Illinois Democrat hasn’t been doing a lot of big-money fundraising.
He finished off the quarter with $1.63 million cash on hand, a campaign finance report filed on Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission revealed. At this same time in the previous election, six years earlier, he had $2.4 million in the bank.
That’s quite a drop off.
I wonder if, perhaps, the reason why people are giving Durbin and other Democrats less money this time around has something to do with being sick and tired of failed policies making things worse for America instead of better. Just a thought.
“Should he stay in the race, Durbin is expected to win another election. But he’s 80 and has said he recognizes the challenges of embarking on a two-year campaign and six years in another term,” Politico reported.
A handful of Illinois Democrats have already begun quietly lining up to run should he retire. His possible exit would create a domino of political moves in the state. On Monday, Durbin, the No. 2 Democratic leader in the Senate, said he will announce his next move “soon.”
Giving money to a Democrat is like withdrawing money from the bank, driving back to your house, going straight to the bathroom, and flushing it all down the toilet. Leftists do not have this country’s best interests at heart.
What they want is to use the federal government as a money laundering scheme to line their pockets and to abuse the power they have been entrusted with as a means of stripping it away from the people. Why? Simple.
They will be able to remain in power and get wealthy off other people’s hard labor while they struggle to put food on the table and make rent every month. Liberals pull the wool over the eyes of the gullible by pretending to care about the “little guy,” when in reality, all they want to do is keep you working long, hard hours so they can tax you and allocate the money to special projects that don’t exist.
“Special projects” is another way of saying, “politicians’ pockets.”
