In the wake of the announcement that former President Joe Biden has advanced prostate cancer — which has spread into his bones — a video clip from a news conference held in 2022 in Massachusetts is going viral. During his visit to Brayton Point, the site of a former coal-fired power plant, Biden may have had a glitch related to his cognitive decline that revealed a truth someone wanted hidden.
The former president often allowed his loose lips to spill the tea about things he was likely told to keep under wraps, but when you’re suffering from dementia that’s a pretty hard thing to do.
During the press conference, Biden said, “That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer.” Yeah, looking back at this statement now, it seems the administration knew he had cancer two years ago, yet kept the diagnosis from the American people.
It wasn’t just his cognitive decline. His physical health was also being hidden. All so the Democratic Party could use this man as a pawn to fight against President Donald Trump. That’s how deep their hatred is for him.
Here’s more from the Boston Herald:
The former president was referring to the impacts of oil pollution on his home state of Delaware, and the White House at the time connected the comment to how Biden had skin cancer removed before his presidency. Critics, including Donald Trump Jr., however, are arguing that the footage from the Bay State news conference is evidence that the former administration covered up Biden’s health decline.
“Joe says he had cancer 2 years ago & everyone said it’s a gaffe,” Trump Jr. said in a social media post published on Monday. “Now that he’s no longer useful they’re all shocked that they missed it. Everyone was in on the cover-up! Who was running the country? We need accountability!”
In the hours following the July 2022 news conference, Andrew Bates, a White House spokesperson at the time, said Biden was referring to the publicly disclosed fact that he had skin cancer removed before he became president. In a November 2021 memo summarizing Biden’s health, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s physician for more than a decade, acknowledged that Biden had “several localized, non-melanoma skin cancers removed with Mohs surgery before he started his presidency.”
“These lesions were completely excised, with clear margins,” the report said.
O’Connor said the former president’s skin cancer was connected to sun exposure, though Biden himself suggested it was the result of exposure to emissions from oil refineries.
Prostate cancers are graded for aggressiveness using what’s known as a Gleason score. The scores range from 6 to 10, with 8, 9 and 10 prostate cancers behaving more aggressively. Biden’s office said his score was 9, suggesting his cancer is among the most aggressive.
A former member of Biden’s transition team, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, stated during an interview on MSNBC that it was likely Biden had cancer while he was president, noting it’s possible he had it for a decade.
“He had it while he was president. He likely had it at the start of his presidency in 2021,” Emanuel explained. “Most White House doctors would recommend getting the test.”
Biden’s cancer diagnosis was made public just a few days before a book written by CNN anchor Jake Tapper, called “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” was due to be released.
