Infamous “Squad” member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is now calling for President Donald Trump to be impeached following the bombing of several Iranian nuclear sites. However, one of her colleagues, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), came out proverbial guns blazing and shut her down with a quickness.
“Of course, no [he should not be impeached],” Fetterman said during an interview on “America’s Newsroom” on Monday.
“She knows it. I know it. We all know it… that’s not going anywhere. He’s been impeached twice, and now he’s still our president as well too, so it’s not going anywhere, and I don’t think [bringing it up is] helpful,” he explained.
He brings up some excellent points. Radical liberals already had two cracks at impeaching him and both were nonsense and failed miserably. Now with Republicans in control of the House and Senate, nothing would be accomplished by impeachment efforts.

Trump drew ire from many on the left and from some in his own party for launching the surprise attack known as “Operation Midnight Hammer” against Iran’s key nuclear sites without congressional approval on Saturday.
In an X post reacting to the news, Ocasio-Cortez wrote, “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.”
“He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment,” she added.
Fetterman, a big supporter of Israel who has also been critical of Iran, explained that throwing around the phrase “impeachment” lessens it’s impact for serious matters when it is actually suitable to use it.
“Operation Midnight Hammer” employed B-2 stealth bombers to strike three Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan after a long journey across the Atlantic on Saturday.
The whiners over at the Daily Beast provided a break down of what the War Powers Act of 1973 says:
The War Powers Act of 1973 stipulates that the president must notify Congress within 48 hours of military action and cannot deploy troops for longer than 90 days without a formal declaration of war. Only Congress can declare war, according to Article I of the Constitution, and the last time it did so was during World War II.
Fetterman, one of the few Democrats to support the strikes, saidthat he didn’t believe they constituted an act of war. Instead, they were simply a “very limited military exercise” that didn’t breach any constitutional guidelines.
You can totally disagree with Trump’s decision concerning the bombing of Iran. Many on both sides of the aisle do. But calling for his impeachment over it, despite all of the evidence clearly showing he didn’t violate the Constitution, is just a silly waste of time.
