When it comes to lying, radical leftists own the corner market, a truth put on full display by Democratic “strategist” James Carville. On a recent episode of his podcast — is there anyone who doesn’t have a podcast? — Carville made some absurd comments about how President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met. Along with a guest on his program, Judd Legum, Carville stated that the couple met through infamous deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Not long after the episode was released, the first lady’s legal team reached out to Carville and threatened to slap him with a lawsuit if they didn’t retract the false claims immediately. The claims were also plastered across some YouTube videos.
Carville caved in quick and carried out the demands of Melania’s lawyer.
The Democrat strategist put out a statement addressing the issue, saying, “In last week’s podcast episode, we spoke with Judd Legum. After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer. He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the First Lady.”
“We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize,” he concluded.
Carville isn’t the first to be smacked back into place and issue an apology for making claims about a connection between Melania Trump and Epstein. The Daily Beast was forced to retract an article that alleged Jeffrey Epstein was part of how the president and his wife first met.
The editors at the publication were quaking in their boots so hard they scrubbed both the headline and the text of the piece and replaced it with an editor’s note, saying the paper had been contacted by the first lady’s legal representation.
“Editor’s Note. After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article,” the note stated. “After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding,” the post said, according to KFOX-TV.
The article based its allegations on claims made by journalist and author Michael Wolff, who appeared on The Daily Beast Podcast on Saturday. Wolff and chief content officer Joanna Coles of the podcast were discussing the presidents’s long history with Epstein, which has become a national conversation in the wake of the Justice Department’s findings that there is no evidence of Epstein keeping a “client list.”
Trump and Epstein were friends for years, but had a falling out amid Epstein’s first criminal sex charges. Wolff, the author of “Fire and Fury,” said that Epstein knew Melania quite “well” and that she “very involved in Trump and Epstein’s relationship.
“She’s introduced by a model agent, both of whom Trump and Epstein are involved with,” Wolff said. “She’s introduced to Trump that way,” Wolff claims. “Epstein knows her well.”
However, according to the memoir the first lady published in 2024, she first met her husband at a Fashion Week party at the Kit Kat Klub located in New York City in 1998.
“I saw my friend wave at someone behind me. When I turned around, I noticed a man and an attractive blonde woman approaching us,” Melania went on to write in her book. “‘Hi. I’m Donald Trump,’ the man said when he reached my table.”
Melania recounted how she and Trump sat down and began a conversation in which she instantly recognized his charisma. She said that Trump made her feel like”the center of his world.”
“From the moment our conversation began, I was captivated by his charm and easygoing nature,” she continued. “I found myself drawn to his magnetic energy.”
It’s always a pleasure to see liberals get held accountable for their insane lies. Who wants to see this happen more often?
