Just when you didn’t think CNN would sink any lower in the ratings, they found a way to be an even worse network and dip below the Food Network. Ouch. That’s insulting. A person just walking around the kitchen and cooking is now more entertaining and informative than what was once a legendary news outlet.
My how the mighty have fallen.
The newest numbers from Nielsen show CNN viewership took a nose dive over the last several weeks. In fact, the ratings are so bad that Food Network has reached higher figures, clearly communicating that Americans are sick and tired of liberal bias in mainstream media news. It’s a point that should have been made clear by the massive butt kicking of the Democratic Party in 2024.
And yet, instead of reevaluating the false narrative pushing and moving toward a more objective take on the events of the day, a lot of media outlets doubled down on producing the same old garbage. They have truly earned the implosion happening to their companies.
Here’s additional details from Trending Politics News:
Audience scores for July show CNN sitting in 14th place, far below Fox News, which retained its streak at the top three, as well as mainstream staples like NBC, CBS, and ABC. Even MSNBC, which was forced to slash Rachel Maddow’s sizable salary and lay off once-popular hosts like Joy Behar and Mehdi Hasan, eked out a seventh-place finish.
Viewership for “the most trusted name in news” now averages just over half a million, far below Fox’s 2.6 million and NBC, which sits in second place with just under 4 million viewers on average.
During President Donald Trump’s first term, CNN ruthlessly, relentlessly attacked him, providing negative coverage and false narratives to the gullible masses. However, after much of what they produced turned out to be false, people started to wake up and lose faith and trust in the mainstream media.
By Trump’s reelection in November 2024, executives at CNN told its producers to put down their axes. They were now to stop “pre-judging” the president based on past criminal and civil cases, an order that came right from CEO Mark Thompson earlier in the year.
It’s too little, too late.
And conservative news personalities have continued to keep close watch on liberal networks and plastered every wrong move all over social media.
Erin Burnett became an ignominious center of attention during last week’s Manhattan shooting when she falsely described the shooter as white. And Trump’s focus on the Russia hoax over the past month bewildered CNN correspondent Jeff Zeleny, who struggled to maintain his composure about covering an issue that is nearly a decade old at this point.
“I’m not sure that this White House wants to, uh, talk about, and I’m not sure that we should spend that much more time on it,” he went on to say.
Without a doubt, one of the most annoying talking heads for CNN is senior White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins. She’s so cringe as the kids say, that she’s more or less become a joke among the White House staff and press corps. Several times she’s been silenced by President Trump for talking out of turn. Often, when Collins asks Trump a question, he flips it back on her.
“More recently, the network took heat for hosting a far-left medical school graduate who insinuated she was a practicing doctor despite having never done so. Her appearance came during a segment where she claimed that Trump’s recent diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency is worse than the White House is making it appear,” the report concluded.
