Southwest Airlines employees have gathered in a developing protest against the company’s vaccine mandate. The organizing of the employee protest was reported earlier by Becker News and can be watched live below via RSBN.
A number of the Southwest employees said that they already have the Covid vaccine, but they are protesting against the vaccine mandate.
“I am not anti-vax, I am just anti-mandate, that’s all,” one mother of four interviewed by RSBN said.
The employee protest was also covered by Real America’s Voice, which showed dozens line up all along Denton street holding signs and waving flags.

The “Freedom, not Force” protest was organized with a flyer from a Southwest employee that was shared earlier by Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec:

“Let your voice be heard,” the flyer says. “Please join your Southwest Cohearts, vaccinated or not, in exercising your first amendment right to a peaceful protest of the recent Covid-19 vaccination mandate.”
“Freedom not force,” the flyer underscores, noting that it is scheduled for Monday, Octobert 18 at 8:30 a.m.
“All who believe in medical freedom are welcome to gather outside Southwest Airlines Headquarters entrace at the intersection of Denton Drive and Love Field drive,” it says, referring to the company’s Dallas headquarters.
“Please invite others and bring signs stating: Terminate the mandate; freedom not force; and no jabs for jobs,” the flyer adds.
Becker News was among the first to report the Southwest “sick out.” Tucker Carlson, on his Monday night monologue, talked about the reported demonstration that took place this weekend after the Southwest Pilots Association sued the airline over the vaccine mandate on Friday.
“Consider the argument they’re hearing from Joe Biden: You must get the shot for the sake of people who’ve already gotten the shot because the shots don’t work well enough to protect the people who’ve already gotten them,” he continued. “That’s what Joe Biden and the entire American health establishment is telling them. So imagine making that argument to an airline pilot, someone whose entire job is based on logic. It is utterly bewildering to them, because it doesn’t make sense. It’s just too unreasonable.”
“I’ve flown military jets in three different war zones,” one pilot told us this weekend. ‘I have never lost sleep like this. The stress is beyond belief. It’s dangerous.’ People are melting.”
“So this weekend in protest, a large number of Southwest pilots called out sick and they effectively shut down their airline,” Tucker noted. “And many of them, you should know, admire the company they work for. They love Southwest Airlines, but they felt they had no choice but to do this. Nobody was standing up for them, not the United States Congress, which, by the way, has exempted itself from vaccine mandates, not even their labor union, which exists and is paid to defend them. But they’re not.”
Southwest CEO Gary Kelly last Tuesday claimed that his company would not be firing employees over the mandate. Earlier, the airline announced that all employees needed to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 24 or face termination.
“We are not going to fire any employees over this,” Kelly said on ABC News.
However, even as many believed Delta Airlines would not be firing employees over a vaccine mandate, it turns out that the company is still using coercion to pressure employees into compliance.
In August, the Associated Press reported that Delta would be charging employees for the purported increased costs associated with self-insuring them for Covid-19 hospitalizations.
“Delta Air Lines will charge employees on the company health plan $200 a month if they fail to get vaccinated against COVID-19, a policy the airline’s top executive says is necessary because the average hospital stay for the virus costs the airline $50,000,” the AP reported.
Last week, there was widespread flight disruption at American Airlines, which followed an employee strike outside of its company headquarters.
“Hundreds of AA workers and allies protested outside the company’s Fort Worth, Texas headquarters on Thursday,” Newsweek reported. “The protesters told The Dallas Morning News that they are skeptical of the vaccines’ effectiveness and their unreported side effects.”
According to the online publication Paddle Your Own Kanoo, “the protestors were a mix of employees from across the airline including pilots, gate agents and ramp workers. Some wore their uniforms, while their numbers were swelled by friends and family who supported their right to reject the vaccine.”

American Airlines in early September told employees that they “must submit proof of full vaccination as soon as possible – no later than Wednesday, Nov 24, 2021.”
“If you have not submitted proof of vaccination by Nov 24, we will be in touch to begin the next steps. To be clear, if you fail to comply with the requirement, the result will be termination from the company,” the memo threatened.
The issue now is where the mainstream media are reporting on protests against vaccine mandates. When it was Black Lives Matter and Antifa burning down neighborhoods, looting stores, and killing people, there was nearly nightly coverage. But now that there is peaceful, patriotic protest against the infringement of Americans’ rights, they are nowhere to be found. Thankfully, there are independent media outlets stepping up to give Americans the full story, such as RSBN and Real America’s Voice.
