The COVID-19 pandemic will go down in U.S. history as a confusing, divisive, and culturally changing series of events and decisions by elected and un-elected individuals.
Michigan has taken some of the most extreme lockdown measures over the past 20 months including shutting down small businesses. The state attorney general in a sign of police state resolve actually ordered the arrest of at least one restaurant owner who tried to stay open in violation of the harsh COVID restrictions.
The governor, Gretchen Whitmer (D), has used an iron fist on the citizens of her state while showing a lack of empathy garnering a significant amount of resentment from the citizens in the Wolverine state.
To no one’s surprise, Michigan will not change its COVID-19 isolation guidelines following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recent shortening of the proposed quarantine time.
The state’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) “will retain current quarantine and isolation guidelines including guidelines for K-12 and congregate care settings” until it “review[s] the supporting evidence behind this guidance, while awaiting additional information from the CDC,” the agency said in a Wednesday night statement.

The CDC announced Monday that it advises individuals who test positive for COVID-19 to quarantine for five days, down from its previous recommendation of ten. Two days later, White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the agency halved the number of days in part due to a concern that quarantines “could have a major negative impact on our ability to keep society running.” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the director of the CDC, said the change was partly due to what officials “thought people would be able to tolerate.”
The announcement drew outrage from some on the left, many of whom claimed that it was a sop to major airlines and big business.
The CDC cited data showing that the majority of COVID-19 transmission occurs shortly before and shortly after the onset of symptoms.
Gov. Whitner has enranged her constituents by violating her own indoor masking rules on at least one occasion and by leaving on vacation, out-of-state, shortly before she advised her state’s residents not to do so.
Whitmer’s also flamed the fire of resentment while closing nearly every type of business, plus preventing religious gatherings, the governor continued to allow abortion throughout the pandemic while banning elective medical procedures.
This frustration lead to a grassroots by patriotic Americans who wanted to remove the tyrant from office but failed in their effort to recall Whitmer even with over 180,000 signatures.
Michigan is one of the rust belt states whose population is made up primarily of hard-working families who want to be left alone, thus love liberty. Unfortunately, Detroit’s large labor unions mismanaged their relations with the huge automakers in the past, leading to the companies moving their operations to Mexico, etc.
In the midst of the rubble, progressives took control and have promised the people if they voted for the Democratic candidates, everything would turn around for them.
As a result, a few main cities comprising of dependant Democrats are making decisions for everyone else in the state, resulting in a dictator in the Mayor’s mansion.
