It took less than 2 weeks for the newly appointed New York City mayor to reveal himself as yet another leftist politician. Mayor Eric Adams is now allowing over 800,000 illegal aliens living in New York City to vote in upcoming local elections, evading federal immigration laws and virtually invalidating the vote of every American citizen residing within the city.
On Monday, New York Republicans filed a lawsuit in Staten Island Supreme Court asking a federal judge to issue a temporary injunction to halt the egregious law. This will prolong and, hopefully, prevent the city Board of Elections and Mayor Adams from “implementing the law in any respect” due to its unconstitutionality according to The New York Post.
Leading the effort is New York Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy. He acknowledged within the lawsuit, “The law is clear and the ethics are even clearer: we shouldn’t be allowing citizens of other nations to vote in our elections, full stop. We are only two weeks into the Adams Administration and he is already kowtowing to the radical City Council.”
“This lawsuit is the only thing that will stop them from their ultimate goal of eradicating all the lines between citizens and non-citizens,” he added.
Plaintiffs in the suit include; Assemblymen Michael Reilly (R South Shore) and Michael Tannousis (R- Staten Island/ Southern Brooklyn), Councilmen David Carr (R- Staten Island) and Robert Holden (D- Queens), Republican Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella, as well as Councilwomen Inna Vernikov (R- Brooklyn), Joann Ariola (R- Queens) and Vickie Paladino (R- Queens).

According to the New York Post, Councilman Joe Borelli (R-Staten Island), the new City Council minority leader, and another plaintiff in the suit also chimed in, saying, “Anyone reading NY state election law in plain English can see that it prohibits foreign citizen voting.”
The newly elected mayor also took the opportunity to reiterate his position. “While I initially had some concerns about one aspect of the bill, I had a productive dialogue with my colleagues in government that put those concerns at ease,” Adams said in a statement. “I believe allowing the legislation to be enacted is by far the best choice, and look forward to bringing millions more into the democratic process.”
Adams statement, much like the entire Democratic Party, is a direct assault on election integrity and the very concept of citizenship. Regardless of whether it’s on our southern border or within New York City, America is quickly turning into a third world banana republic. We continue to see soaring crime rates within our major cities, along with a rise in American drug deaths, compliments of Mexican drug lords.
Murad Awawdeh, executive director of New York Immigration Coalition, was instrumental in passing the law. He slammed the GOP lawsuit as “racist” and drew a comparison between the 2020 Presidential Election and former President Trump’s claim that the election was rigged.
“We won’t allow members of a political party that has yet to accept the results of the 2020 presidential election or acknowledge their role in a violent insurrection against our democracy to subvert the will of New Yorkers through a baseless lawsuit,” said Awawdeh.
Awawdeh, like many on the far left, conveniently forgets how both the mainstream media and big tech willfully censored numerous news articles by reputable news outlets involving decades of widespread corruption by the Biden clan, further manipulating what likely voters would see and read during the 2020 election cycle.
