A New York man has just been arrested for threatening to kill President Donald Trump. The man allegedly called the Capitol Police and made death threats against Trump.
Thomas Welnicki, who hails from Rockaway Beach, New York, has been charged for knowingly threatening to kidnap and kill a former President. Welnicki made the statements on July 21st, 2020, and was quoted saying if Trump doesn’t step down as the President, he would “take him out and buy weapons”.

Welnicki would, yet again, call to the Secret Service’s main office on November 8th, 2020, and called Trump Hitler. He would follow that statement by saying, “I will do everything I can to make sure Trump is dead.”
According to the Hill, Welnicki would call the Secret Service’ office and went on record saying:
“Oh yeah that’s a threat, come and arrest me. I will do anything I can to take out [Trump] and his 12 monkeys,” Welnicki said, according to the criminal complaint.
This isn’t the first time Trump has been threatened. While serving as the 45th President, Trump faced several assassination attempts. On September 6th, 2017, Gregory Leingang of Bismarck, North Dakota, entered a restricted area that was roped off for Trump’s visit. Leingang then stole a forklift that was in the restricted area and drove it towards Trump’s motorcade in an attempt to flip Trump’s limo and assassinate him. He is now serving a 20-year prison sentence.

Another assassination attempt against Trump came from an unnamed member of ISIS, who threatened to kill Trump in the Philippines during an ASEAN Summit. However, secret service agents were able to locate and arrest the ISIS operative that was planning the assassination attempt.
The most recent and least threatening assassination attempt against Trump came from an unidentified person who sent ricin to the White House. Ricin is a deadly poison, and when a person comes in contact with it, they can experience extreme sickness and death.
Now, fast forward to 2022 and Trump is out of office, but there are still constant death threats against his life. One of the biggest ones currently is that the Iranian government is calling for Trump to be prosecuted and killed for issuing an airstrike and killing Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
Global News reported that the current Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, was quoted saying:
“If Trump and (former secretary of state Mike) Pompeo are not tried in a fair court for the criminal act of assassinating General Soleimani, Muslims will take our martyr’s revenge,” Raisi said in a speech on Monday.
“The aggressor, murderer and main culprit — the then president of the United States — must be tried and judged under the (Islamic) law of retribution, and God’s ruling must be carried out against him,” Raisi added.
Trump is one of the most hated men in the world, but at the same time he’s ironically the most loved person, too. The secret service is the best in the world at what they do, so Trump doesn’t have much to worry about for now.
