Well, it was a good run, but everything has to end, doesn’t it? Even the legends of our youth pass on, fade away and ride off into the sunset. Ozzy Osbourne is no different. Ozzy has been a cultural icon and staple of the television and music scene since his introduction with Black Sabbath in the 70’s. Ozzy has been responsible for some of the most lewd, lascivious behavior in rock and roll history. He is simply a little unhinged. Ozzy met his wife Sharon and got married in 1982, literally saving his life as he was spiraling into (more)…

Proponents of electric vehicles often use the charging stations that electric vehicles require as a prime example of what they think is so good about EVs. Though they acknowledge that the charging stations take longer to charge an EV than it takes to fill up a car or truck at a gas pump, they often cite the lower cost of a charging station than a gas pump as why the whole EV idea is so good. What they ignore, however, is all the bad stuff that can happen as you wait endlessly for your car to charge. Sure, they argue,…

One of the funniest and most inspiring/heartening parts of the Joe Biden presidency has been watching people that have always been Democrats switch parties in resigned frustration with how bad their party has gotten. Furious with the way the country is headed, upset with the inflation crisis, the gas price disaster, the grooming of kids, and all those other crazy things that the libs do, people are switching parties in the hope that it’s not too late. We’ve seen a huge number of Hispanics switch sides, as shown most recently by the electoral win of Maya Flores in a nearly…

Gulsen Colakoglu, a Turkish popstar, was released from jail but placed on house arrest after allegedly making jokes about Islamic religious schools in Turkey. She now awaits trial on charges of “inciting hatred and enmity.” At a concert, the pop star joked that the “perversion” of one of her musicians was because he attended a religious school in the country. This school, when built, was intended for the training of imams.  Her words were, “He studied at an Imam Hatip previously. That’s where his perversion comes from.” The 46-year-old singer was then invited for questioning concerning this joke. Following the…

‘Moaning Markle’ is at it again. Just a few days after attacking the Royal Family in the first episode of her podcast, Meghan has been on the attack again. In an exclusive interview with New York-based magazine, The Cut, Meghan took the opportunity to whine about Harry’s family and bleat about how “happy” the couple were to leave Britain behind and start a new, ”private” (ha) life in Hollywood. In an extraordinary moan, the Duchess of Sussex told The Cut that she and Prince Harry had been “upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy… just by existing” while they lived in…

Network television is on life support. Whether it’s the quality of the programming, which has worsened in recent years, or the influence of streaming on peoples viewing habits, what was once a staple of American life is dying a slow, painful death. It’s hard not to say, “good riddance”. Network television just is no longer compelling. Forced diversity, canned laughter, stale, trite storylines; once again I sound like a bitter old dude, but the failure of the networks to hold viewers proves I am right. I love being right. Remember “must see tv” in the 80’s and 90’s on NBC?…

I loved Saturday Night Live as a kid. It’s not as if I understood the humor since I was pretty young when it premiered, it was just cool to be up so late watching something I probably wasn’t supposed to be watching. Yep, I was a real rebel! Once the 70’s turned onto the 80’s, SNL really hit its stride. Iconic comedians like Eddie Murphy, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Will Ferrell; just too many to list. Sadly, the show has devolved into nothing more than virtue signaling, cheap political humor, and largely lacks the star power of its previous iterations.…

Researchers from the University of Cambridge have been playing God and made model embryos from mouse stem cells that structure the brain, a pulsating heart, and the foundations of the relative multitude of different organs of the body. It addresses another road for reproducing the infancy of life. The group of analysts, driven by Professor Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz, created the embryo model without eggs or sperm. Rather, they utilized stem cells – which are sort of like blank cells and can form into practically any cell type in the body. “It’s just unbelievable that we’ve got this far. This has been…

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m not an exotic pet guy. In fact, reptiles in particular just aren’t pets. One unfortunate fellow had monitor lizards in his house that bit him and waited until he died of sepsis from their bites before eating him. I ain’t going down like that! There is a reason, a very good reason that literally every body of fresh water in…

I’ve never been to Great Britain, though I will say I picture it as being cold and gray and dreary most of the time. Sort of like Seattle without the Space Needle and CHOP zone. Sadly, there are parts of our country, and the rest of the world where cranking up the thermostat, or even having the heat on this winter is going to be a difficult decision for…

At the risk of once again sounding like the old man shaking his fist on his front lawn, let me just say; I miss the good old days! Once upon a time, pop stars and rock stars were hard. As a matter of fact, they probably won’t ask you to eat your fruits and vegetables anymore, nor will they give you cautionary tales of what happens if you don’t eat healthily. This is because they will probably be right there along with you in the corner of the kitchen while your dinner is waiting on the table – squirming. While scientists are working on incorporating exquisite mealworms into our food starting with seasoning, the truth is that they would have us…

Being a white man in America is still better than being any race, anywhere else, but it’s getting closer.
