A national incident has been declared in the UK as the first sign of polio in the country in over 40 years has been detected in London’s sewer system. The virus was detected during routine testing of sewage waste in London, prompting the UK Health Security Agency to inform the public. Police said that two teenagers were shot and are dead after they forced their way into a home in East Hartford. The two teens entered the home and were shot in the living room, according to officials, and just after midnight, the police were called to the home. They have been identified by police as Isaiah Jose Lopez and Isaiah Miguel Nevarez, one of them was a 16-year-old from Hartford and the other was a 15-year-old from Meriden. An eight-year-old boy who has been accused of using a burning soccer ball to set his neighbor, 6, on fire has denied the allegations. Stefano Giacobbe has been playing with neighbor Dominick Krankall in the backyard of his home in Bridgeport on April 24 when the horrific incident took place. The vintage Bell UH-1B chopper nicknamed Huey had an extensive history behind it. It was produced in 1962 and saw combat in the Vietnam war. The Supreme Court has decided not to hear an appeal brought by Bayer to stop thousands of cases alleging that the company’s weedkiller, Roundup, causes cancer. Edwin Hardeman, a man from California, claims that he developed cancer as a result of using Roundup for years to manage poison oak, overgrowth, and weeds on his property in the San Francisco Bay Area.
